      <description>&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Paper: Houston Chronicle&lt;br&gt;Date: Thursday 12/10/98&lt;br&gt;FATHER FRANCIS X. CHANG S.J. &lt;br&gt;FATHER FRANCIS X. CHANG, S.J., died December 3 , 1998. He was born in Anhwei, China on November 15, 1920. Father Chang was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Chang and Agnes Nieh Chang. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1939 in Shanghai, China and was ordained in 1949 at Comillas, Spain. He received Doctorates in Philosophy and in Social Sciences from the Gregorian University in Rome. Before doing pastoral work, he taught at the Catholic University in Taiwan and Universidad Centroamerica, Nicaragua. Fr. Chang had been in parish ministry in Houston from 1971 and since 1991 was Pastor of Ascension Chinese Mission in Houston. A Wake Service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 1998 at 7:30 pm at Ascension Church, 4605 Jetty, and the Mass of the Ressurrection will be at 10:00 am on December 11 am at Ascension. Burial will be on Saturday, December 12 at 1:30 pm in the Jesuit Cemetery at Grand Coteau, La. &lt;br&gt;</description>

Ethel was born on February 2, 1911 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Mary Yau and Yak Siu. Ethel worked out of her home as a housewife. She had a interest in the game of golf and she loved being around children. She will be missed dearly by those who knew her.&lt;br&gt;Ethel is survived by her husband, Benjamin K. Chang of Rio Rancho, NM; son, Kenneth Chang of Dededo, Guam; son, Mitchell Chang of Mahomet, IL; son, Gary Chang of Dededo, Guam; daughter, Cynthia Kanda of Mililani, HI; son, Melvin Chang of HI; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held in Hawaii.&lt;br&gt;</description>
