just started looking for this bunch from my husband's family. not sure of years or location. guessing that it might be mid 1850"s or so, that they were born. not sure of where to look but several of their children lived in west virginia. they had at least 6 children. would appreciate anything that might crop up on mary-there are too many thomas jackson's to go that route :) thanks-sharla

William Henry Channel

Dear Ted - I saw your reply to William B. Channel on familyhistory.com and was wondering if you had received a reply and had his e-mail address - My name is Cory Schick and I am related to the William Henry Channel he refers to. William had three wives. I have information on all 3 and military records for WHC which I received from Dona Eason in California (her e-mail is the rootsearch@aol.com). She sent me lots of info and pictures.

WHC's first wife, Lucinda Morris had a sister named Sarah Elisabeth. Sarah married James Jackson Mason and is my GG-grandmother. I have a copy of their wedding certificate.

WHC's 3rd wife was named Kessiah Norton and their daughter, Lucretia Arminda Channel married Francis Lafayette Mason (son of Sarah Morris and James Mason) and WHC is my GGG-grandfather. Have wedding certificate.

Additionally, I have all the brothers and sisters for Lucinda and Sarah's parents, Miles Morris and Mary. Miles served in the Mexican-American war in 1846-47 and kept a diary which I recently saw the original of at the IL Historical Society in Springfield, IL. Have gedcom and scanned pictures I would love to share.

Look forward any to your reply and if you have William B. Channel's e-mail and/or address, please send. Thanks!!
Ms. Cory Schick
cory-schick@ouhsc.edu or cory-schick@juno.com
