Looking for any info on my Grandfather, Angus Isaac Chapelle, born in early 1880's in Toronto, Ontario. He had many siblings from his fathers 3 marriages. Paul, Clarence, Frank, Florence, Roberta (or Bertha), Elinore. He married Minnie May Moise in Saskatoon sometime b/4 1912. Many of his brothers and their children are from the Jacksons Point /
Sutton area north of Toronto. I would appreciate any help that any one could give me.

I am looking for William Chapel/Chappell/Chapple that was born abt 1854 in KY. He maried Margaret A. Mullins in Rockcastle County, KY abt 1902. His father was William birth unknown but he was born in KY. Need family info on both Williams: brothers, sisters. wives, children, etc. I have info on William and Margaret's children and will be glad to share what I have to the present.

Chapelle/Chapell etc in Dover

My grandmother's grandfather was a Chapell and they lived in Dover. In a photo I have of him he has lost his left leg. He was married to an O'Beirne(sp?) They had a daughter Stella.
Does this ring any bells for anyone?!!!

In my search for my line of african american Bolt's i have found that we are related to the Chappells (then spelled Capel in the 1880 census) of Ouachita, La. My great grandfather Lee Bolt married Esther Chappell, they were the parents of my great grandfather Anthony, then spelled (Antney) My greatgrandmother Esther, was the daughter of Henry and Louisa Chappell (then spelled Capel) her father (Henry) was from Nances, Muscogee,Georgia and born around 1852 , and her mother (Louisa) was from Alabama her maiden name was Duffy and was born around 1840, Esther had several siblings that are known of....Henry, John, and Mollie Chappell, however i think i found more. Angus Louis Chapelle was born Jul 16, 1881 in Georgina, (Sutton), Ontario. He married Mary Gertrude Tunney (born May 1, 1886 in Eversley, York, Ontario. They were married on April 29, 1907 in Midland, Ontario.
Angus's father was Abram (Abraham) LaChapelle born abt 1846 in Ontario. mother was Mary Charpentier born abt 1851.
Anyone researching this line or who might have more info.

MY great grandfather was comte victor octave xavier alfred de morton de la chapelle His mother had been one of the relation of dukes of morton <scotland> he was born infrance at st valery sur somme at the chateaux Goimer in 1863 all the family came to england set up in middlesex he later trained as a lawyer with his wifes family and became internationally well known h is wife was english <my greatgrandmother they later separated and he lived with his mistress in tollesbury essex they had one daughter too Yvonne who married a mr stansbrige they had one son michael who Im keen to trace < asort of step uncle >he also has alot of memories to share about his grandparents

I am looking for the parents and siblings of Elizabeth Chapel/Chapell/Chaple who was born in Maryland on 25 November 1792.

She was married to Thomas Henry Pack in 1815 in Scott County, Kentucky. They moved from Kentucky to Indiana and then on to Iowa.

They had 10 children: Alfred A., John Thomas, Armilda, Marcella, V. (no first name, not sure whether male or female), Matilda, James H. (my great-great-grandfather), Tilman Carl, Rebecca Jane and Minerva or Manerva Pack.

Chappell(e) family in Denver

I am looking for ancestors of Ella Irene Chappell of Denver, CO, who married my great grandfather John Bouvier Peterson of Philadelphia on 15 Sep 1887, I presume in Denver.

Other family surnames probably stemming from the Chappell connection are Fenton and Seymour (Ella and John's first child, who died in infancy, was Fenton Seymour Peterson, which is suggestive.)

A Google search has turned up a well-established family of Chappells in Denver at about the right time, including a Delos Chappell who founded what eventually became the Denver Art Museum. I have not, however, been able to establish a link between my great-grandmother and this family.

I've posted this message to both Chappell and Chappelle lists, as I have so little information that I thought best to leave all options open. November 10, 1823, Goshen, Connecticut. I have found this
information on a few websites, but I haven't found any further
information. I have found them in 1870 federal census in Canaan CT. She was born around 1804 occording to her age in 1870 and information on the census indicates she was born in CT. I have seen the surname spelled chaffelle and chaffello in reference to Almira.

Looking for parentage information on Angus Chapelle who married Gurtrude Tunney. I don't have any birthday on Angus, but his death date was 3 May 1964, Penticton, BC, Canada. Sorry Carol, not the same Angus, I don't think. Angus did live in Sask. and Alberta I think at some point in time, but I don't know when or exactly where.

I have recently found some additional information about my CHAPELLEs to share. Augustus CHAPELLE quite likely had a sister named Julia who married a Peter PLATTI (Pialti, Piattie, Plattie) this name has baffled me. It is recorded as PLATTI in a marriage record to Julia CHAPELLE on Sept. 28th, 1853 from selected extracts in 1932 in NYC. I found this on a Brooklyn info page. I also see this name or at least, a very similar name on a baptismal record for a child named Augustus Francis Harris CHAPELLE, son of Augustus Francis CHAPELLE and Helena O'SULLIVAN, baptized on 12, april, 1868. This record was copied in june 1885 by an assistant pastor at St. Gabriel;s Church at 308 East 37th Street, New York. The Julia that I;m looking at here, that I believe to be Augustus' sister, is recorded as a Julia PIALTIE. From other records I have found, I can determine that Augustus was born in 1836 in France and it would appear that Julia was born about 1833. So far I have found three children of Augustus and Helena, I have their baptismal certificates. Rosalie b. 11.june.64, James Andrew b. 17.april.66 and Augustus F. H. b.7.march.68. And I have found on the same Brooklyn pages, an Auguste (female) F. CHAPELLE who married a Luigi DALIELLO in 1894, likely the daughter of either Augustus F. or James A. I have a feeling that Augustus F. remained a bachelor. I have a death certificate for the elder Augustus that I received with his pension file from the civil war. He died on april 14, 1880 and is buried in Calvary Cemetary in Woodside. I am still searching for family connections.

They had a son Captain Gaspar Chaple and Nanangle,who in his obituary registered in Cuba on the fourteenth of December 1807, states that he was natural of Vienna.
