Thanks for your contact. I researched this family because of my Zimmerman relative, Louisa, wife of Henry C. Charpiot. I looked further into the Charpiots because they seemed to be an interesting family.

I tried your email and it bounced. This message also contained two reports that have more info. Let me know how to change the address. Please let me know if you find anything wrong or can give me more to fill out the Riche-s!

I noticed that I put in that Julia Charpiot's husband was Andre Sardou. A cousin said that it is Sardou, but the Andre is her hope... So it is not proven...

I hope this helps you. Let me know if you have more luck in France than I had...

Heidi
Auke Bay, AK
Charpiot

I'm trying to find the Charpiot's who adopted my grandmother Florence Ethel Peterson (she was fairly young between 1900 and 1908) and her brother Lawrence. A picture can be seen at: https://home.comcast.net/~gardnersr/ of Florence with her adopted parents (however the boy in the picture isn't her biological brother). Florence was born in Granville Illinois to a Carl Peterson. Her mother died when she was about 4 years old. I know that Mr. and Mrs. Charpiot did have children of their own, and a couple of the daughters lived in the Chicago area - so I'm told.
