Ezekiel Cheever during the Revolutionary War

I am researching my 5g-grandfather, Ezekiel Cheever. I have reliable records to determine that he was born in Lynn, MA in 1714 and died in Boston in 1808.
I came across a webpage put up by the U.S.Army Ordnance Corps today that cites an Ezekiel Cheever in its "Hall of Fame" and which notes a number of activities in which he engaged during the Revolutionary War. The trouble is, this Ezekiel Cheever is noted as having been born in Charlestown, MA in 1720 and died in 1793.
Can anyone tell me if, perhaps, both of these fellows are indeed the same person? Or were there two Ezekiel Cheevers living in Boston during the Revolutionary War?

Seeking information on Capt. Charles Cheever (sp) who was the Master of the ship William Nelson that left from Havre France and arrived in New York in December 15 1854.Was he on the first or second William Nelon ship? I am having a hard time finding anything about this ship named William Nelson. The reason for this search is I believe that my ancestor and his family was on this ship, their names were Christian Imboden age 47, Christian Imboden age 17, Anna Imboden age 12, Elizabeth Imboden age 7, Friedrich Imboden age 10, Margare Imboden age 15 Peter Imboden age 13, Rudolph Imboden age 9, Marianne Imboden age 4 and Maria Imboden (Schmucker) age 45.

James Wheeler Cheever's First Wife Neta "Nettie" Cook Died 1933 Mother of Leonard D. and Lula

I noticed that several family trees have Neta Cook's death year as 1888. She was married to James Wheeler Cheaver who was born on June 4, 1860 and he died on October 28, 1951 in Cowlitz County, Washington. John remarried Ola in 1899. They obviously divorced, because Neta remarried a man named Dunn and is alive and living with her daughter, Lula M. "Lulu" Cheever on the 1930 Census for Omaha, Nebraska. Lula's first husband, Charles Walter Long, died on July 3, 1920 in a train accident. Lula later married Edward A. Hoffman two times according to the Douglas County Marriage Index for Nebraska.

Note: Lula Cheever Long Hoffman and her brother Leonard Cheever are mentioned in her obituary. I found her obituary in archives, and it is listed online in the Douglas County obituaries index: DUNN, Nettie (Mrs.); 70; 24 Dec 1933 WH morn p 1D-1 & 3D-3 @ Forest Lawn*(DC: 28 Dec)

Here is Neta/Nettie's obituary:

12/24/1933 Omaha World Herald

Mrs. Nettie Dunn, 70, 2835 Monroe Street, died Saturday afternoon in a local hospital. She is survived by a son, Leonard Cheever, and a daughter, Mrs. Edward Hoffman, both of Omaha.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from Larkin's Chapel. Cremation will be a Forrest Lawn.

I am not a relative, but I do work on electrical drawings, some very old. Markham Cheever's name (signature) is on many of the drawings from the early 1900's as Chief Engineer. I Googled his name to try to confirm that I was spelling it correctly and found your post. I don't know that it would help your research but I thought you might find it interesting.
Ann Judson Alpleton Cheever

Ann Judson Appleton Cheever form Delavan IL is my mother in law's great grandmother. She was married to Daniel Cheever March 25, 1846. My wife was given custody of a box of artifacts passed down to my mother in law from this family.
I decided to scan the contents of her box including Cheever and Appleton genealogies, old letters, a genealogy for an ancestor of the Appleton's named Guild and some stuff concerning a Whittiker family. Also, the pages from a couple of old photograph albums which even include portraits of a few black women and children so they may have been Ann Appleton's or even predate her since it was the Cheevers who were rumored to have participated in the Underground Railroad. My mother in law doesn't know who most of these people are. I'm doing it so I can share it with the rest of my wife's sisters and their families and got to thinking that It would be really great to make it all available to those who are researching that family as well. It might be of interest to them and maybe they could shed some light on who some of these people are for me. Whoever made these albums didn't include names on the backs of the photos.

I'm not personally interested in researching genealogy but I know a lot of people are passionate about it. I've got a bit more work to do mostly scanning old newspaper articles written by Joe Reed, Ida Cheever Reed's husband who was the editor of the Delavan Times.

If anyone is intereste let me know and I'll email you the file of scans.

I too am looking for information on Sarah Cheever 1604-1674 married to John Keney. I am looking for her parents and am noticing in several other persons trees they have them listed as Ezekial Cheever 1614-1708 and Ellen Lathrop 1625-1706. There is also listed another set of parents but the names escape me right now. However, both sets of parents are not of the right age for Sarah, they are either 10 years old when she is born or Sarah is 10 years older than them. I do wish people would pay closer attention when they are adding names to their trees.
Thanks for listening.
Katt

I don't no if they were brother and sister or husband and wife. I recently received this picture because my grandmother is also in the photo. I felt it would be nice to share the photo with others. I know nothing about the CHEEVERS other then the photo, and that it was taken in Kansas. It was possiably taken in or around Toronto, Woodson County, Kansas. Any one that would like to have a copy e-mailed to them please let me know. If you send e-mail directly to me at lspowers@swbell.net (that 1st letter is a small "L" in the e-mail address) please put in the SUBJECT line the name of CHEEVERS.
Thanks and good hunting to all!!!
Linda

Dora Cheever, Sanford E Cheever, Isabell Cheever

I am looking for relatives of my great-grandmother (Dora Munro Cheever). She was born in Liverpool England in 1901. Her father Sanford Ephraim Cheever was once part owner of the Courtfield Arms Hotel in Lydbrook, Gloucester on the River Wye. My great-grandmother was a war bride. She married my great-grandfather and moved to the United States shortly after her eighteenth birthday. I would appreciate any information about her English family. Please contact me at mhvander@msn.com

Thank you,

Heidi Van der Meer
