I am Julia Megyesy, named after my great-grandmother, Julia. My grandparents are Dolores and Norman Megyesy, who had five kids, one is my father, Timothy. Julia is Dolores' mother. They grew up in Washington, PA- I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA

Chico family name what was it before

I am wondering if anyone one knows! My family name is Chico, I have heard from relatives now passed that our family name was either Holliandro or Viaponda.
My father Rufus Chico was born and raised in Port Huron, MI
His father was Joseph Chico, his mother was Rimalda, do not know the maiden name, never met her. Was interested in finding family members.

I am from Estelle's brother (Jack)'s ancestors. I have information about her family(siblings and parents). I show Marsha's bday as 1/22/44. I have very little info on Joseph.

Hey Shirley!
Ok, it kind of comes together now....
My Dad is Clarence Jr, Aunts are Nancy and Mona Mae and Grandmother and Grandfather are Mona and Clarence...They have just bought a computer so they will be online soon too! This is all very confusing to me to try to sort out, especially since I thought I had a very small family, but I guess I was wrong!! This is very fun and interesting to try to put it all together though! As I told Jan Chico, I'm going to try to map it all out but will need help!
So there was John, Stella and Steve? Is that right?

Hello, My name is Candy Sanney, Megyesy by birth. My dad is Harry Joseph Megyesy, Sr. My Grandfather is Steve Alex Megyesy, he was born in Gastonville, PA. I am looking for anyone who is the decendants of Elizabeth, John, Julia, Stella, they are the brothers and sisters of my grandfather.

My father's family are also Chico's. They are Hungarian. Some settled in the Mon Valley of Pennsylvania. Was Joseph also from Hungary?

Estelle Chico was married to my uncle, Joseph Chico from WV. They lived for awhile in NJ, which is where I believe Estelle Weiner was from. They had a daughter Marsha.
They lived in WV in the late forties and early fifties.

I believe Marsha must have some relation to my Family ancestors in Chicago. My Grandparents, Encarnacion and Juana (Joanne)Chico came to Chicago in the 1920's. We have a large extended Chico Family who are in the Chicago metro area.

I have reason to believe that Marsha Chico may be my mother's half sister. My mother's mother was Estelle Weiner, and my mother was born in Chicago in 1937. She has a brother and sister that are both still living also. Although never married to my grandfather, she has 3 children with him. My grandfather gained custody when my mother was 3 mos. old. She never knew Estelle, but is most anxious to find any living relatives.
