Min Wai "Harry" CHOW passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the age of 69. Harry is survived by his loving wife Jennie, son Vincent (SHerrill), daughters Marilyn (Rick) and Bonnie, grandchildren Richard, Derrick, Marcus, and Alexander, mother Chong Ho CHOW, brothers Tommy and Kai, sisters May and Jenny and many other family and friends. A viewing will be held at Assman's Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 24, 2006 at 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Assman's Funeral Chapel at 10:00 am with an interment to follow in the Prince George Municipal Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Condolences for the family may be sent to assmansfc@alderwoods.com .

Next time, ask ME!! Not that I know a heck of a whole lot, but at least I can do you one better. I know both grandma and grandpa's mother and father's name: Grandma - (father) Yong Fook Chang, (mother) Ida Helen Kealoha Kalani [Kamaka]; Grandpa - (father) Chow Fung Kong, (mother) Lee Ynat. I know that Grandma's father died at sea when Grandma was little. Grandma's mom was with a Hawaiian man later in her life and Grandma HATED this man!! He didn't treat them very well! Grandma told me she saw him years later and actually crossed to the other side of the street just to avoid seeing him face to face! What I know about Grandpa's family is that his father is the only sibling in his family who raised his own family in Hawai'i. If you have not heard this story yet, then e-mail me, or call me and I can tell you the story. I can also tell you about Grandpa's siblings. I didn't know you were interested in family history. I need help. I want to do this. In fact, one summer I went to San Fransisco to talk to Aunty Eva. My mom told me that Aunty Eva has a lot of info about our family. So I asked mom to set up a meeting for me, since she knows Aunty Eva. Mom was unable to contact Aunty, but gave me her number and told me just call her when I get there. When I got there, I called her and she told me that she is not having anyone over to the house as she was caring for her husband and was quite busy. Wasted trip!! So anyway, I kind of gave up after that. Call me sometime.
