Children b. or died in Dickinson,NY are Jerome b.1844 d.1845, Benjamin Franklin b. 1846, and Martin Reed d. 1872. The rest of the siblings b. or d. from Charlotte, Vt, Bangor,NY, Champion, NY & Antwerp, NY. Benjamin Franklin's son Albert Alonzo b. Dickinson Center,NY in 1868. I have much more. What can you give me on your line?

I did some searching and on "www.familysearch.com" I found
one entry for a DAVID CLARK born on 12 Oct 1798 in Leyden,
Franklin county, Massachusetts. Father: Matthew CLARK and
mother Rachel.
This may be yours.
If you want the record copied and sent go to the Orlando
Public Library at "www.ocls.lib.fl.us" click on enter and
then on ask a reference question.
They will send you a photocopy for $1.00 - honor system as
to paying later. I think this may be your David.
Do you have a wife's name ? Does a Matthew CLARK show up in
any census records for Otsego county in the early 1800's ?

Franklin county is in the far north of new york in between
st. lawrence and clinton counties.
I doubt we are connected unless it converges back a few
generations.

My David Clark was born in Worchester, Ny. Oct 12, 1798. Im not sure where your Franklin county is. There may be some connection. I know nothing except his birth day and he was a sea captain, and was the father of my Great Grand father Ellis David, who was born in Oswego, Ny.

Hi Everyone - I am having a really difficult time tracking down any type of info for my maternal line. I literally cannot find anything on any of them. I can find my grandmother's obituary on Google, but NOTHING else, and I cant find any record of my mothers birth? Has anyone else run into such issues, and if so were you able to overcome them?

Here is what I have been told about my Grandfather:

His name was Walter J Clark, and he was born around 1920-1925. Around 1947 he worked for C&EI R.R., specifically, at the Evansville Indiana roundhouse as a "firemen".

My Grandmother (they were not married): June Arlene McClure, born around 1928 (possibly in Washington), she lived in Washington for a large majority of her life.

My Mother, Deborah Jean Clark was born in 1948 in Chehalis Washington.

Joseph Passmore marriede Mary Treadway Rickard. They had several children. He was declaed insane by the Richland County Court and sent away. I have the court papers. He died shortly after. August 24th 1869. Their son Charles died at 22 nov. 1874 at 24 years. Buried in Olney as is his father Joseph. Mary and her Passmore issue went to Tennessee before 1875. He Rickard son Wm Clark remained in Olney.

Hi

We are looking for the whereabouts (or death) of Thomas Clarke last seen in the census of 1881 living with his children Elise, Thomas and Maud at 4 Park Street Crescent, North Myton Hull. He was a boarder living at the house of Ellen Appleyard. He was baptised at Hook and was the son of George and Sarah Clark. George was a cordwainer of Goole.

We have searched for a death for him with no success so far.
He was not listed as deceased on his daughters marriage certificate in 1890.

Any help regarding him appreciated.

I am a descendant, I think of Francis Clark..son James was my g-g-g-g- grandfather. I am from Rockbridge Virginia. Son James was a preacher also. James had 3 sons Nelson, James Jr. and Joseph. I believe he had one daughter.

John Robkins Clark b.1893 Michigan

I am trying to find the father of John R. Clark. His mother was Olive Hodges b. 1874 Michigan. She was from the UP of Canadian parentage and married a Clark (perhaps a John also) from lower Michigan. Her husband died early in the marriage leaving Olive and John (at about age 6 in 1899). John Robkins Clark remembered the sickness and death of his father. A memory of vomiting blood before his death. After her husband's death Olive returned to the UP and married a Minier who were from her mother's side of the family. Family legend has it that the Clarks of this lower Michigan family were well to do but Olive chose to take her child and go back to the relative hardships associated with living in the UP. As far as I know no one has been able to trace the link with these Clarks in lower Michigan. Do these facts ring a bell with anyone associated with the Clark's in lower Michigan? Thanks for your help.

Carol, I have nothing concrete for you. But I found an Allsion Clark living in either Russell Co., VA or Hamshire Co., VA (now W. VA) who is supposed to be from New Jersery.
Sorry, I can't remember if it was a tax record, or a census record. It has been awhile since I worked on that line of Clarks. I am presently working on a William Clark who appears on the 1820 Russell Co., VA census. He married Ann Asbury in 1819 in Tazewell Co., VA. This would have been a 2nd marriage for him - I don't know who his first wife was.
He is living two doors away from a Frederick Clark whom other researchers claim to be the son of William. I'm still trying to prove that.
Can you give me more info concerning your William Clark? What are some of the other names that run in your family.

Mr. Sanders L. Clark Sr. lovingly known as “Mop,” passed away Nov. 2, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, Ohio.

He was born Sept. 16, 1924 in Youngstown, Mahoning county, Ohio, a son of George and Rebecca Wyche Clark.

He attended East High School and was a veteran of World War II.

Sanders enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially wrestling and football. He was an avid Cleveland Browns Fan. He worked 32 years in the Galvanize Department at Republic Steel (LTV), retiring in 1983. He was a former member of St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church, where he served as a trustee for many years.

He is survived by his two sons, Sanders (Bertha) Clark Jr. of Youngstown and Ray (Brenda) Clark of Liberty; three grandchildren, Raeonna Denson of Spotsylvania, Va., Rhonda Parker of Canfield, Ohio and Stephen Clark of Youngstown, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Tyrik Denson, Rayshawn Clark, Benjamin Parker Jr. and Ausha Denson; his former wife, Virginia; and a host of family and friends, who will sadly miss him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, George and Fred.

Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m

Yesterday, in an Independence, Missouri antique Mall, I found a certificate in the name of Claude Clark, certifying that he had been approved by the Missouri State Board of Embalming for the years 1921-1922.

I am not related to the Clarks, nor do I have an interest in the store. I am merely passing along information that someone might find useful.
