Not sure if anyone still monitoring this thread. Just to help: Alice Maude Bice was daughter of Luke VEALE Bice (1842-1921) and Elizabeth Jane Rundle (1842-1930).

Thomas Percy Clemow was son of John Francis Clemow (1844-1903) and Eliza Allanson (1849-1902)

Brooklyn certificates for that era do not have parents names.
From Emma (Bird) Clemow's death certificate, Brooklyn, 1893 number 17113: Emma Adaline Clemow, age 42 years 4 months 11 days, born in Canada, lived in US 35 years, lived in Brooklyn 1 1/2 years seamstress, parents born in England,
died at home 817 Halsey street, October 10, 1893. Cause= pulmonary tuberculosis and diabetes with asthenia. Buried Cypress Hills cemetery October 12th 1893

I have learned of a nephew traveling with a family unit, over from England, and believe his father was a William Clemo.
Its been a REALLY long looking process, but I think I now have the whole family better aligned, and looking to find out if the nephew ever married and had issue. He was 25 when he arrived in the US in the 1850's. I look forward to establishing
a connection!

I know our Clemow data, early to mid 19th century, prior

Trying to see if anyone is possibly connected to this Clemow line. Also trying to determine possible migration route as Emma was born in Canada; perhaps this Clemow line
left England then to Ca before the US. Trying get some clarity
on these brick wall lines! In addition, I would like to know if there were any issue, names,dates, and where they are buried. William is the relation; either half or full brother.

Hi, I am quite a bit earlier than you are, the family you are enquiring about only starts with Grace Clemowe who married Matthew Roberts in Cuby Tregony in 1746 and she was born in Mevigissey May 1711 daughter of John.
The other Clemowe family I have also starts early with a Mary Clemowe who married a Richard Benney in 1714 @ E. Newlyn, Cornwall, she was born in E. Newlyn Apl 1683 with 9 siblings to Robert Clemowe and Joane Cony, and that is as far as I have got sorry. Wendy

this has nothing to do with opel, it the clemow i am interested in. i have an alice clemow poss, from tonbridge, married joseph holland date & location unknown, but were living in paddington, london 1887 according to their son anthony william's birth cert.

Opal Irene Jones Clemow lived in Placerville, CA. I still trying to confirm her as part of my Jones from AR, but have not heard back from living relatives. Opal died 1994. El Dorado Co. volunteer looked up obit info for me. Don't know her husbands first name. Opal was born 1912 AZ. She would be a younger cousin of my grandfather Arthur Jones, born 1894. I don't know of an Opel Clemow, but have you checked the family tree at Ancestry.com? Brian H. Clemow has traced the name back to the 1500's; he even went to a Clemow Family Reunion in Cornwall, England last summer. Where did/does Opel live?
