William was born ca. 1795 in Sussex County and Hester was born after 1800. I have no more information on either. My grandfather was George Watson Clendaniel born in Chestertown, MD in 1897 (resided in Denton, MD for many years). His brothers were William and Charles. If anyone has info to help me out, I'm trying to link us up other Delaware Clendaniels.

I am the daughter of Joseph Clendaniel. Have little information on the family due to divorce situation. Am very curious about my family and the orgins of the name.
My family is from Sussex County Delaware and buried at Lincoln, Ellendale and Milford Cemataries.

Interesting article in the Lima News (www.limanews.com available on line) 12-20-2006 about Nellie (Clendaniel) Albridge. Nellie was b. 5-16-1880 in Easton, N. Hampton Co. Pa. and died 5-28-1966 in Lima, Allen Co. Ohio. She is the daughter of George Valentine and Anna Short. Nellie was my grandmother.

Does anyone have parentage for Mary A. Clendaniel born c. 1813 Sussex Cty, DE? She married Jonathan Williams 27 Jul 1852. He was born c. 1813. They had children Ann M. 1853, Morgan 1857 and Jacob M. 1859 (married Mary Ben Morgan-my line). Jonathan married first Elizabeth Macklin 14 Mar 1834 and had Abid 1844. Jonathan and Mary living in Cedar Creek Hd, Sussex Cty, DE in 1860.

Can anyone give me info on Herbert Blackstone Clendaniel born 1892 in Delaware.(His parents/grandparents names) Also the nationality of the Clendaniel name (Scottish/Irish/Welsh???).
Trying to gather info quickly for my father Frank Butler Clendaniel Sr. born 1929 son of Herbert. Unfortunately, Herbert didn't pass on much info about the family to any of his 13 children with Marion.....I'm fairly new at this any guidance/info would be greatly appreciated.

Searching for decsendants of my grandfathers' sister. My grandfather was George Albert Messick, Jr. Son of George Albert Messick, Sr. and Olevia Sherwood. He had a sister Clara Messick who married Gove Betts. I believe Clara lived one day short of her 100th birthday. Clara has a daughter Roberta "Bertie" who married a Clendaniel.

I believe Bertie Clendaniel is living in a nursing home in Millsboro, Sussex Co., DE at the age of 82. If you are a decsendant of Clara Messick or know one of Bertie's children or grandchildren, please contact me.

Would like to connect with others with connections to Isaac Clendaniel and Rachel Webb who married in Sussex County in 1820. Found on 1850 and 1860 Census' for Cedar Creek Hundred Delaware. They had at least 8 children and are buried on the farm on which they resided. One of the children James, married Elizabeth Griffith (buried Union Cem) - would love to get in touch with others in their line as well.

I am searching for 2 Clendaniel ancestors (ggggrandmothers whose grandchildren married each other).
The first is Jessefy CLENDANIEL b. 22 Nov 1824 d.15 Feb 1886 and m.16 Feb 1847 to Henry MACKLIN (b.25 Dec 1825 d.24 Oct 1904).
They are both burried in the Ellendale Cemetary. They lived in Cedar Creek Hundred of Sussex Co., DE.

Jessefy's parent's names were Ahab CLENDANIEL b.1793 d.1871 m.21 Oct 1819 to Sarah _____ b. 1797
I am also searching for Ahab's parents, his wife's maiden name, and his children.

My second Clendaniel grandmother is Elizabeth CLENDANIEL, wife of Peter DONOVAN and mother to James Henry DONOVAN (b.2 April 1865 d.21 Jan 1947).
