First off---there is a big difference in being ignorant and honest---one can be both----ignorance and mistakes are different----until someone proves with more than a will that says he had inheritance from Germany coming does not mean that he was born in Germany----I have other relatives that were born in Germany while their father was a Reverend there in the 1600s---but they were all English----he had an inheritance coming from the lands and things his father acquired while in Germany===same could be for Peter Clester---there was lots of reasons why English went to Germany especially if of the Royal court etc---to pastor for another--I do believe they were German though the Clesters but Peter could have been born in the USA--and his name is spelled many ways on documents some of the line is spelled Clister and Clester and still traces back to Peter and Christina-----on some of the documents around the time of his death it is CLSTR on legal postings at courthouse---so its not ignorance or not dishonesty---its just keeping on with misinformation. Rudeness never accomplishes anything who ever you are. And further more there was a Pemduch Pa in the 1700s---it was outside of one of the major cities that was attacked by a smallpots epidemic and according to the site I found but its not up now the school teacher was teaching about the quarantine of the town not letting in the villagers of Pemduch to get medical treatment--she asked if that was fair----I found it on a map---but computer crash happened and with some family illness not gotten to find it but will and will post it to you here

Yes the Midwest Cluster's and the Baltimore Cluster's are not related when it comes to American Cluster's. In Baltimore there is one Cluster side who is of Russian/Jewish orgin and then there is my side that is Irish/Catholic and we can trace ourselves back to James T. Cluster born 1810 in Ireland who immigrated in 1860 with his wife Mary and son James T. Cluster born 1841. I can't find any additional information before immigration.

Joe Cluster, Baltimore, Maryland

In her later live after Dallas' death she moved to Idaho and helped her daughter in law after the death of her youngest son 13 living grand children, she died and is buried in Idaho in 1944.

Hi,
If you are the grandson of Harry Cluster of Baltimore, we are related. Harry's brother, Benjamin, was my g-grandfather.
Subsequent to posting my message on ancestry.com, I found the ship manifest for Chawe Riwke Klatzke; among her four children sailing with her was "Hirsch" whom I presume to be Harry. It took me sevaral years to find the manifest. It wasn't until I photographed her tombstone and uploaded the image to a site for translations did I know that "Eva Rebecca" was Chawe Riwke. At that point, I returned to the library and went through a Soundexed microfilm and finally found her. Of course, now it is a simple matter to find her. Here is the ancestry.com link:
http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&new=1&...

As for the name change, I would not be surprised to learn that it took place during immigration. I don't know how quickly the family assumed the Cluster name since they immigrated over a period of years, beginning with Abraham in 1888, Eva Rebecca and four of their childen in 1891, and so on. FWIW, my grandfather, Benjamin Cluster, is shown to be KLASTER in the 1900 U.S. Census while Abraham and Eva along with children Mary and Harry are shown as CLUSTER.

I'm the son of Alvin Peyton Cluster who was the friend of JFK. Dad's father was Alvin Blaine Cluster of Missouri who died in Dumas Texas. His mother was Ruth Cluster who died in Wellsville Missouri. I have material somewhere that shows this line goes back to an Edward Carrington Cluster who was born in Baltimore in 1815. The Baltimore phone book shows a fair number of Clusters. I wrote to one but we couldn't find a connection. He referred to the gentile and jewish Cluster families in Baltimores as two separate families. As far as I know I'm not jewish.

Tom Cluster, Lincoln, California

This is a long shot, but I simply have hit the wall with him. Because of his middle name, Cluster, I am wondering if his mother could have been a Cluster?
Arthur was born in 1892, in Clay co. WV, and married Loress Jean Hannah in 1924, clay co, WV. Arthur died somewhere between 1944 and 1955 and is buried in Paddoc Cemetery in Maysel, WV.

Any information welcomed!
Thanks, Debbie

I found him and his children listed
on a World Ancestry Tree, but it shows they
were all born in Penduck, PA. I do not find
that on any map, but I do see Pendoch, Eng.
Can you list your source? England seems right
to me, I just want to make sure I am accurate.

Diane,
I have not run across that name yet. I haven't found too much information on the children of MMCluster and J Young except fot Joseph Charles Young. My blood line is through the Young side. I will keep my eyes open for it though and if I should happen to run across it I will email you.
