Correction - Joseph Cohen b. 1864 Poland/Russia, d. 1928 Portland, Oregon. Joseph sister Annie Cohen married Cain Calmenson, son Jessee. Joseph married Sarah (Seril) Dubiver, first son Max Cohen born in St. Paul Minnesota January 1885, then sons Harry, Simon, Julius, and son Ben. Joe moved to Portland Oregon in 1894, then The Dalles Oregon. Sarah died 1902. Joseph second wife Annie Bonivu, two children, Fannie b. 1904, and Abraham b. 1907. Cohen stores The Dalles, The Toggery. Moved to Portland in 1920. Max military service 1906-09. 1910 moved back to Portland worked at United Cigar then purchased Sunset Cigar 85 6th in the Wells Fargo Bldg. Max d 1924.

My grandmother, Sarah(Eske) Cohen immigrated in 1898.
She married Morris Ruderman in 1903. The 1910 Census shows Jacob Cohen age 14 living with them. There are many Jacob Cohens, so I don't know which is her nephew.

I would like to trace Jacobs decendants. I believe they lived in Sullivan cty N.Y. or nearby.

I am looking for an esther cohen. She must have been born about 1880. I don't have much information on her. She came from New York. She lived in Wis. for a while. She had two children born there. One died shortly after childbirth. The other was Laura Lowell. She married a Frank E. Lowell. She had a son born in Virginia. She may have had ties there too. In her later years she was in an institution on Long Island. There she died. We have no other info on her. Can anyone help? Yvonne

Brother of Ann Calmenson is Joseph Cohen, b. 1861 Poland/Russia, d. 1928 Portland, Oregon, imigrated 1879. First son Max Cohen Sr. (my grand-father) born to Joseph & Sarah in St. Paul Minn 1885, son Harry, son Simon, son Julius, son Ben all born in Minnesota, moved to The Dalles Oregon in 1894 where Sarah died 1940. Joseph re-married Annie who had two children, Fannie b. 1904, and Abraham b. 1907. Both were born in The Dalles and are alive and well. Celebrated Fan's 100th birthday in Feb. 2004.

I am trying to find the family of Philip F. Cohen in 1930, Philadelphia,PA. His wife's name was Lulu. Children were: Frances(Fanny), Daniel, Walter, Franklin, Alberta and Howard. On the 1920 census they lived on Fairmount Avenue in Philadelphia. I have checked the census images on Ancestry without any luck.
