The link brings you to the page of Keith Comeau, son of Martin Comeau and Eva Robbins from NS Canada. If you look at the family you'll notice Keith had a brother named Vance which gives a hint of him being the father of Richard Vance (where his uncle might have been his godfather maybe).

My name is Sebastien Comeau and I am the person behind the Comeau Genealogy website. I have no direct relation to this family apart of the fact that we share the same ancestor, namely Pierre Comeau.

Richard Vance Comeau was born on December 2, 1930. I have pictures of him on his and Mom's wedding day on April 10, 1954. His brother Norman W. Comeau was the best man and Norman's wife Joan was the maid of honor. They were married at the Wesley Church in Worcester Mass. They went on to have three children, William Richard, David Wayne and me Cathleen Joyce. They divorced in 1961 I think. After the divorce he married a woman named Elaine and they had three kids, Regina, Marc, and Denise. This much I know as fact. I also know that Richard was one of eight children.

I will check the thread but of these things I'm sure.

Not so sure about his parent's names though think it was Keith A. and Bertha. She called me once in 1976 after the birth of my first child but that was the last time I ever heard from her.

Since she and Daniel have the same grandfather Joseph Comeau dit Chailloux, they are first cousins. I meet her when I was young and my father talked of her often.

Good afternoon.

My name is Bryan Le Blanc, and I am a relative. My paternal grandmother was Alida (Comeau) Le Blanc, a resident (as I am) of Leominster, MA. Her father was (Joseph) Ernest Comeau, who was born in North Grosvenordale, CT, in 1882 and died in Leominster in 1928. His father was Telesphore Ernest Comeau (1857 Warwick, QC -1900 (North Grosvenordale, CT)) and mother was Helouise Pare (1856 (Warwick, QC) -1935 (Leominster, MA)). Telesphore's father was Joseph Felix Comeau (b. 1825 QC died New Bedford, MA 1913). J. Felix was married to Marie Julie Euphemie Legendre (b. 1835 QC died New Bedford, MA 1905). J. Felix was the son of Joseph & Victoire (Cloutier) Comeau. Sound familiar?

I have been looking for Soeur Jeanne (whatever happened to her) for so many years. Did she die in 1972? If so, where? Do you happen to know which order she was with? Any information that you could provide would be so much appreciated! Merci mille fois!!!!
-Bryan R. Le Blanc
Leominster, MA

After analysis of the DNA tests done by male Comeau and Coombs we can now assume that Antoine Comeau, son of Pierre Comeau born about 1661 in Port-Royal is Anthony Coombs, who established himself in Wells, Maine circa 1687 with Louis Allain and married Dorcas Woodin on september 5th, 1688.

http://en.comeaunet.org/dna/big-annoucement-regarding-antoin...

Sebastien Comeau
http://www.comeaunet.org

I have been able to trace my family line back to Anthony Coombs b. ca. 1660, living in Wells,Maine, in the 1680's. Recently I did a DNA test and found I was related to the Comeau's of Port Royal. Could my Anthony Coombs be Anthoine the child of Pierre Comeau and Rose Bayol. Anthony was reputed to be French, he names his first son Peter, and he is associated in Maine with Louis Allain, who moved to Port Royal after the Indian attacks in Maine. Any thoughts?

Hi again. Here is the information that I was able to find: Elisee (Elisha) T. Comeau was born on Sep 26, 1867 in Clare, Digby County, Nova Scotia. He was the son of Mande Telesphore Comeau and his first wife Marie Comeau. Elisee first came to the US in 1888. He married Marguerite Melanson (not Saulnier) on Apr 20, 1896 in Haverhill, MA. Marguerite was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Melanson & Rose Melanson. She was born Nov 26, 1867 in Church Point, Digby County, Nova Scotia.
Children of Elisee (Elisha) Comeau & Marguerite Melanson:

1. Marguerite Comeau: born Jan 24, 1897 in Haverhill, MA
2. Ambrose John Baptiste Comeau: born Jul 29, 1903 in Haverhill, MA. Died in Dec 1986, Lynn, MA.
3. Marie Rose Anne Comeau: born Oct 28, 1906 in Lynn, MA
4. Philip J. Comeau: born Apr 16, 1908 in Grosses Coques, Digby County, Nova Scotia. Married - Beatrice Descheneau on Dec 15, 1934 in Plasitow, NH. Died - Jan 1985.

Some time after the birth of Marie Rose Ann Comeau in 1906 the family moved back to Nova Scotia and then returned to Massachusetts and settled in Lynn.

Hope this helps. I have additional information if you need it, you email me at unionfk@yahoo.com

Fred

Yes, that certainly is is the family. How wonderful. Do you know who his father and mother was. The only thing that I have is that Elisha's wife was Marguerite Saulnier. Was the daughter Marguerite really born in Haverhill in 1897? I thought that they did not migrate until about 1915? Philip did go through 6th grade in Digby.

Hi,
I read through my books from Digby County and in the Comeau Family Book, by Andre Comeau. Louis Comeau & Rosalie Gaudet had a son named Elizeus Comeau: born Aug 15, 1868 in Meteghan, Nova Scotia and he married Justinienne LeBlanc. I will research some more and see what I can find with you.

I have Elisha T. Comeau b. 1868 in Digby Co. NS and died 1952 in Lynn, MA, USA. He married Margurite Saulnier sometime before 1903 maybe in the 1890s. I have the family living in Grosse Point, Digby Co. I believe they emigrated in 1915 according to the 1920 census in Massachusetts.
He is probably the son of Louis Comeau b. 15 Apr 1835 Meteghan, Digby Co. (died 1883 Meteghan) and his wife Rosalie Gaudet b. 19 Jan 1839 Concession, Diby Co and d. 24 Feb 1927 Meteghan, Digby Co.
What I need is to really establish the connection between Elisha and his father. It is had to read the handwritten French baptismal record as my French is very limited at this time.
