Just started into my Condor/er line. I am from the Mary Margaret Condor line .
She married John Henry Goodnight. My relationship is thru their daughter,
Nancy. She married into my Williams family. Do you have other info on the family? Have a George Jr. (father to Mary M.) married to Susan Goodnight.
Have George Sr (Jr's father) married to an Anna Barbara Barbry. Can you confirm
any of this???

i have been told by my uncle kenneth ray (bud) garner that my aunt cecil garner was married to houston conder and in a fit of rage his ex wife shot him after he married my aunt cecil as she was a lot younger than he was. we dont know for certain if he was really ever married to her but they were involved, my uncle said he was one bad sob.

I come from a direct line of Condor's. If you give me a few more names I may be able to help you, but most of mine began in Tx and Oklahoma. I have just started the family tree, but have many..many names.

Henry Condor is listed in the 1880 Breckenridge Ky census as being 53 yrs old born abt 1827 his birth Ky, father Ky, mother Ky. Stories vary around a theme that he was kidknapped by Indians at abt age 12 tried to escape several times, finally returning "back across the Ohio River into Breckinridge Co at age 20 something" The Indian wife was not a part of this story. I don't know if George is an ancestor of my Henry. I'll keep your question in mind in my search backwards. Happy Hunting, Steve

Bob, I see your Mary Margaret Condor on this site's family tree. Its a leap of nearly 50 yrs for my family of Condors at this time earliest mention is Henry Condor and family in 1880 Breckinridge Co Ky Census.

My Mary Margaret (Peggy) Condor was bn 1793 in Giles county TN and was married to John Henry Goodnight 3/14/1805 in Washington county KY. I believe her father to be George Condor who was married to a Susannah Goodnight but cannot confirm this.

Sarah M. Condor appears in the 1880 Stone County, Arkansas, Census, not the 1900 Bell County, Texas, Census. But her parents, a brother, and grandmother Lucinda appear in both. Sorry for mistake in previous posting.

Sarah M. Condor was born in Arkansas. She appears in the 1900 US Federal Census in Holland, Bell County, TX, and also in the 1880 Census in Richwoods Township, Stone County, Arkansas. The daughter of Henry Condor and Lucy H. The Census is difficult to read, but it seems that Henry was born in November 1848 in Kentucky. His mother, Lucinda, was born in November 1828 in Missouri. Henry's father deceased, no name. Lucinda's father born in Georgia, her mother in Virginia. Henry's wife, Lucy H., born in Georgia, her father also, her mother in North Carolina. Henry was a blacksmith, Lucy could not read or write (very common then), all their children born in Arkansas. Henry the only survivor of Lucinda's four children. Henry and Lucy had seven children (of eight) surviving in 1900, but Census lists only Addie (?), Allie V., Dora, and T. E. (Thomas Edison?). I would be interested in your family Bible -- does it include Betty, born 1883/84? Please contact me directly, w-brown2@uiuc.edu.

I am looking for information on the parents of Sarah Margaret CONDOR Brown. My grandmother's family Bible lists the dates of Sarah's birth as Oct. 24, 1876 and that of her death as May 18, 1917. (Sarah was my granmother's great-grandmother.) I am not certain that Sarah was born in TX. My grandmother's Bible also lists the names of Sarah's parents as Henry CONDOR and Lucy CONDOR, but no maiden name for Lucy nor any dates for either are given. Are all these men in Tennessee named George Conder the same man? George Condor signed petition to form Maury County 1807. George Conder in Hickman County census 1820 & 1830. The one in 1830 census was born 1760-1770. How are they related to Peter and Daniel Conder in 1820, to Martin in 1830 census?
Any relation to Jacob Conder in Perry & Decatur census 1830-50? Or to John or Peter Conder in Maury County 1811? Is this the Conder or Condor family related to the Goodnight family, all of Mecklenburg NC and Lincoln and Mercer KY?

Her father was Billy Condor and I don't know her mother. From Viena, IL area. Billy was Cherokee and left the Trail of Tears and hid out in So IL. Later he had a family.

Thank you, It is my understanding that Nancy Condor were full blood cherokee. I could see that (cherokee) in my grandmother Sara Jane and I see that cherokee in my Father Donald - Sara's youngest son of 13 and I see Cherokee in myself - so I am very interested in the Cherokee blood line.... Enoch and Nancy's daughter Sara ( My grandmother) wed Joseph Jackson Duvall who family hailed from France.

I am researching my alleged Cherokee Indian heritage. The information has been handed down for years and unfortunately those who know are deceased. My great-grandparents were from Kentucky. My great-grandfather's name was Henry Gray . I think from Grayson Co. My great-grandmother's name was Mary Condor from Kentucky. There are most definetly Native American characteristics in my family. Hi Mark, Laura Condor was my grandfather's sister; his name was Albert Lee Condor. Albert was born in Daviess County Kentucky, perhaps Laura was too. Hope this helps you.

I am trying to find information on my great grandmother: Her name was Laura Condor: She married Tempe Lindsey, who died in 1948. She remarried Robert Lucas. Laura died in 1964. Her mother's name was Polly Ann Travis. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. The family doesn't know where she was from in KY, so I don't know where to start to look.
