I think we have the same Ellen Connery. However, the family information is a little different.

My Ellen was born in John's Green Kilkenny Ireland to Laurence and Ellen Connery. She was the 10th of 15 children.

Julia and Lizzie (my grandmother) came to Canada. Delia was in Canada and the USA.

I note that you have been in contact with my/our cousin Eleanor.

My Connerys lived in the same area. Mary Ann and Timothy emigrated from "a small town outside of Cork city" about 1849, started out on Ludlow St., later lived on Mulberry and then Worth. Tim was born in the 1820's and since their first son was named Thomas, it leads me to believe Tim's father was a Thomas also. Their other children were David, Mary Ann, Ellen, Sarah, Ellen, Catherine, John, Timothy, Daniel and Timothy.

Don't know if perhaps your Connery's and mine are connected. I haven't been able to go back farther than Tim and Mary.

Ellen Connery from Kilkenny, Ireland

My g-grandmother was Ellen Connery, from Kilkenny, Ireland, born approx 30 Apr 1890. Her father was Lawrence Connery and her mother was Ellen Mills. I believe she was the oldest, and had siblings named Mary, Maggie, Anna, John, Lawrence, Delia, Lizzie, and Julia. I believe Delia, Lizzie, and Julia ended up in Canada.

Ellen Connery was a nun and sent to a convent in Burma. She escaped and came to America.

Anyone know anything about this family? I'm at a loss.

There also appears to be a Patrick William Connery of about 1778 who marries a Mary Scullion or Scallian. Does anybody have any information on this family of Ireland? They may have had a daughter Margaret and Catherine who both appear in Iowa around 1850.

I have found an obscure diocese record in Lindsay, Ontario which shows Hanora Connery marrying John Pyne in 1856. Her parents were Michael Connery and Ellen Roche. His were James Pyne (deceased) and Catherine Miller. Catherine remained in Lindsay until her death. John and "Nora" moved to NY (probably illegally). It appears that more of the Pyne families moved to Michigan (spouses Hoey and Twohey). The Connery children Michael, James, Charles, and Catherine (Kate)were born in Ireland. There are three children Richard, Margaret Ann, and Hannah Mary who are born in Canada. Margaret never admitted to being born in Canada because we believe illegal status, but says NY. Margaret Ann, Michael, and Mary Ellen Connery all relocate to Madison County Iowa. She married Michael McNamara born Ireland.

It should read Roland Parker Conry (Connery) and I discovered what was thought of as 2 different people may possibly actually one. He was recorded as Parker and as Rowland, and now we believe it is first and middle name of this Connery.
Anything that could clarify if accurate would be greatly appreciated.

My great great uncle, Claude Connery migrated from Vermont via Washington state, to BC Canada before the 1901 Census for Vancouver Canada.
Some of my research has brought me to a Patrick Conry who was married to Heavilah (and her previous marriage was to a Rowland Connery -- so I sense a typo with Patrick's spelling of last name) Both these are found in the 1860 & 1850 Census from New York, Franklin state(Rowland) and Vermont, Grand Isle (Patrick)
I do not know if these 2 gents were related, but have heard that many young widows would marry a deceased single sibling, though I do not know how much truth is behind that.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have some Connery family information to share also.

I am a descendant of Connery line. My great grandfather Socrates was born in Vermont in 1889, as well as in the 1901 Vancouver BC Census is my great great grandfather, also named Socrates or Crate was noted being born in Vermont. The first time coming across a Patrick "Conry" is in the 1860 Census from Grand Isle Vermont. He was born in 1817, married to Heavilah (and her first name is spelt a numerous amount of ways throughout the rest of her life in the Census record keeping.(she was born in 1819) It looks as if Patrick perhaps passed on or something, and Heavilah married Rowland Connery, and they had a son, Socrates, born 1849. (also a daughter named Hannah was produced in Heavilah's first marriage)
I figure my ancestors settled in Vermont sometime in the early 1800's or late 1700's. I have no information previous to this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Archive files for Mass, show one William Connery as being killed at Fort Edward, NY. during the French and Indian Wars.

Look under Louisburg Crown Point Canada, Crown Point Road NY, Fort Edward NY, Saratoga, NY. Under the French and Indian Wars men from Ipswich, Mass. Newbury, Mass, Essex County Mass. Byfield, Mass, Ware, Mass, Rowley Mass, Worester, Mass.
Years from 1744-to-1763.

At Fort William, and Henry in NY, and Fort Edward, Fort Saratoga NY many of these men served from Mass Eastern part of the state of Mass and entered into Archive files from Mass.

In the 1900 census of Kings county NY, Brooklyn, is a Arthur E, Connery bd Oct. 1889 bp NY , Father deceased and bp NY and mother is Minnie Farrell Connery bp CT. They are living on Marion Street the address given in a diary in the Farrell family which Wm.Farrell went to PA before 1870 and his widow returned to NY after his death. Arthur Connery, born PA, 1845

My great-grandfather, Arthur Connery, was born in Pennsylvania in 1845. He was a miner, as were all of the men in the family, as far as I know. According to the census, both of his parents were from Ireland, but I don't know their names, or those of any of his siblings. From names in subsequent generations of his family, the names Arthur, Hugh, Robert Emmett, and William recurred a lot. Is there anyone descended from Pennsylvania Connery miners who may have had an Arthur in that generation? Many of them scattered and lost touch with relatives around the end of the 1870's to avoid being hanged for involvement with the Molly Maguires. Arthur, his wife (a Sweeney) and first 2 children went to Oklahoma, then Iowa, then Kansas. Offspring ended up wherever there were mines.

My GGG Grandfather was Richard Connery. He went to Australia in 1845. His parents were John and Mary. Brothers were John, William and Patrick. His sisters were Mary, Bridget and Catherine.
I don 't know if they also went to Australia.
The spelling of Richard's surname changed in Australia to Conroy.
Two of his daughters moved to New Zealand.
Does anyone know of this family?

I am also researching the same Connery family for mom, Joan Marie Lawrence (nee Roberts) a/k/a Mary Richards, born out of wedlock to Mary Richards (widow of Mr. Bradley, with three sons: Bill, Travis "Bob", and Dick, and age 37) and Joseph F. Connery (1872-1935, son of William Martin Connery). They never married.
