I am researching a Joseph Copson who married Elizabeth Pinchback in Nuneaton in 1827. Dates don't seem to mesh though. Let me know if this sounds like anything.

William F Copson Jr B-1871 came to the USA in about 1887.
William F Copson Sr B-1839 also came around this time period.
William Jr married Addie M Wilby in 1893[my family line]
William Sr came to this county from Leicester with elastic
goring looms.Gorings were used in women's skirts, dresses, and
in suspenders.Glad to share what I have. John

My last name is Copson and I live in Bedworth which is the next town to Nuneaton my Grandads Name was Harold and my grandmas name was Ellen Pickard and dont really know much else about my family history, but they were both from coventry.

Hi again,
The Frank Copson I am looking for was somehow related to my father's family. My father is Brian John Byrne b 1932, his parents were John Albert Byrne known as Jack and Violet nee Davison. My Dad says he knew Frank as Uncle Frank. The family was associated with a wheelwrights business in either Fletton or Spratton. Uncle Frank was also local coffin maker and local jack of all trades, being able to turn his hand to practically anything. Jack lived with the Copson family at sometime, I presume before his marriage to Violet in 1930. Jack's parents were Thomas Byrne and Sarah Simmons. My Dad thought that Frank had married either a Byrne or Simmons or was in some way related to them and he has fond memories of the family and times spent there as a child. I hope this helps and I look forward to hearing from you very soon.

I don't know if this will help you, but there is a message on May 24,2008 by Roy Benford answering my querie re my grandfather, Walter Copson Benford. He listed his findings from the 1871 Census of Leicestershire which shows a William Copson age 13. Check the message board for that message. It may be some help.

I have a 'Josephine M Tunks' regisered birth in 1928, Barrow (I'm assuming Lincolnshire?), UK and her mothers maiden name is 'Copson', but I cant seem to find any marriages between a female 'Copson' and a male 'Tunks' around or before this time. His name I now know is David A Copson, civil war vet, 22nd infantry from Indiana, Sherman's march to the sea.

My gt.Gt.Gt. Grandfather Thomas Copson born 24.7.1851 in Nuneaton. Married Clara Adler.
Would like to any info on his son William Copson born circa 1874/5 in Coventry. I know he married a Mary Agnes Cresswell in April 1898. My Great Aunt (still going strong at 96Yrs!) has an interesting family story about him. Also like info on Thomas' father, William Copson (an engine driver)

Trying to track down a Copson who married a widow Sarah A Nichols born in England who lived in either CO or NE in the 1890s, who must have died, left, etc. and Sarah moved to Starke County IN by 1900, with 4 children by each husband, all of whom used Nichols.
She was an accomplished pianist.

Tilin and Tilan Copson are twin sisters, they used to live in Puerto Rico and are friends of mine. I really wish to find them. Tilin was closer to me than Tilan. This is very important to me. Thank you!

I am looking for more info on my ancestors Emma Priscilla Copson born 1837 in Birmingham, who married Martin Richard Ashwin born 1831 in Bidford on Avon.
They came to NZ on Sebastapol in 1863, along with Helen, Mary and Sarah E. Ashwin, who may have been Richards sisters, and 5 other Ashwins, Craven? Helen, Mary, Martin and Lilly who may have been the 1st five children.
Does anyone have any more info on these families?
I would love to hear from anybody with anything at all.
