My father was Florentino Cordero, but he was also Filipino. Served in the US Army. Looking for any relatives of his. I know there is a clan of Cordero's living in the Philippines and in San Diego, California. I want to go far back as possible to the Spanish side of the family.

I am learning today about my grandmother, Mary Cordero, ancestry on this website. My mother, Marie Cordero, was one of 8 children Mary & Julius Voight had. I had very little information prior to reading this website. I learned today from this website that there are others like me researching our Cordero family history. Edwardo & Edwanda Cordero are my Great-Grandparents. Their daughter, Mary Cordero & husband, Julius Voight are my grandparents. One of their "8" children was my my mother Marie Voight, Laura Voight's sister (your grandmother). I am trying to find out more about the Cordero family too. I would love to know more.

They were never married because he was already married to someone else. Sadly I was the mistresses child. Even still, I have siblings I never met either. My mom said he is a couple a yrs difference give or take in age from her. She will be 50a this year. Hes never lived in PR. I heard a rumor he may have moved to Orlando. But not too positive on that. Hopefully I will have closure on this one day. I've waited 29 yrs. Lol. Thank you so much for your reply.

Searching for my biological father

Im trying to find my biological father and/or my relatives on his side of the family. I don't know much about him except his name and where he worked when he met my mother Susan. His name is Victor Cordero. Lived in Brooklyn New York. May have moved to Orlando Florida. They met at what used to be Kosher City on Ralph Ave and Farragut Brooklyn New York around 1981-1982. Hello,

Could my great grandmother, Brigida Cordero be linked to your family line? What I know of her is that she was born in Sombrerete Zacatecas about 1852 and that she married my great grandfather, Aniceto Alvarado in Sombrerete Zacatecas on the 29 April 1867. They had 11 children. The older children were born in Zacatecas but the family left Mexico because of the fighting in Mexico and eventually settled in
Laredo Texas. Brigida died on the 16 October 1914 in Laredo Texas.

If you have any information on her, such as parents or siblings, I would greatly appreciate it.

My Grandmother was 1 of Mary Cordero/Voight's daughters. Her name was; Laura Voight/Sanchez/Hill from Redlands, CA. She was 1 of 8 children born to Mary (Cordero) Voight & Julius Voight. My Great-Great Grandparents were Edwardo & Edwarda Cordero. I know they had a son; Thomas & a daughter; Mary. Mary is my Great Grandmother who married Julius Voight. Together they had 6 daughters and 2 sons. My Grandmother is their oldest daughter; Laura.I was told Edwarda's maiden name was Cordero and was Edwardo's cousin? I do have a picture of them. Anyone descended from Susano Cordero and Paulina Ponce I have extensive Ponce information back to 1582. My wife's great grandfather, Santiago Ponce, was Paulina's brother. Paulina had a twin sister, Paula, and other sisters Dominga, Nicanora and Cleofas.

In 1929 Paulina's son, Eusebio, picked her up at the El Paso border crossing. The 1930 U.S. census shows Paulina living with him in El Paso.

My husband's grandfather, Adolfo Cordero Samot and his wife Dominga Rosa Feliciano had about 16 or more children. one of them was a daughter named Martina. I don't have the names of her children, although I heard that the daughters had lots of children. In order to get a conection you will proberly have to do a search. Talk to family members and try to find out who her parents were. She would of been born about 1897. Keep in touch.

I don't know the actual real name of my great grandparents, all I know is there nicknames. My great grandma's name was Martina Fantauzzi Cordero (she was know as Mamita) and my great grandfather was known by the nickname Papita Cordero.
Their children's name were as follow, Iko, Nito, Gallita, Amada, Sana, Sila, Manuel, chin, Donio, Julia, Poldo, and Ate..some of their children still live in Aquadilla today and Isabela..

You have just solved a mystery for me. I have a record of your grandmother's birth, but could not fit her into my list of known children of Edwarda and Eduardo. I have a list of some, maybe all of her kids but no idea what happened to her. According to the mission in Santa Ines, Lena was born December 1899 and baptized 28 Mar 1900.

My grandmother was Silvia Erolinda Cordero. She was a daughter to Eduardo and Edwarda. Does anyone in your family by chance know what happened to her? She went by Lena Cordero. She married Leon Herrera and then Martin Sotelo.

Hi, thanks for writing back. My husband is related to Ramona Cordero b.1890. She was daughter of Edwardo Cordero (b. 1857, Las Cruces) and Edwarda (Jennie) Cordero (b. 1864, Santa Barbara). (Edwarda's maiden name was also Cordero. She and her husband were 3rd cousins, once removed.) Which one(s) are you related to?

In a number of Post I notice a family link with my Cordero and with a few other's that Posted.

I also had a GGG Grandparents from Isabela PR,
Manuel Rosa ( DeLaRosa ) & Justa Cordero, she was born around 1808.
One of her son Antonio DeLaRosa Cordero born about 1848 in Isabela, PR, and was married to Manuela Samot Perez, and they had a son named Jose DeLaRosa Samot, born about 1882 in Isabela, PR.

Is anyone else researching Captain Andres Cordero? Perhaps we could share our information.

He was married to Maria de Grados who may have been born on July 14, 1572 in Granada, Spain.

Their daughter, Beatris Grados Cordero, married Captain Lope Hierro de Cereceda Olarte.

Their son was Captain General Bartolome Hierro Y Zereceda Grados who was born in Valle de Allende, Chihuahua.
