I have found a census record of 1911 for Timothy O'Halloran (b. 1869)and his sisters:

Catherine (b. 1871)
Joanna(b. 1873)
Ellen (b. 1874)
Margaret (b. 1876)
in Scartnamuck (Templemartin, Cork). Does anyone have any further information about these people?

I am trying to find more information on William Cork born approx. 1804 in Barton Turf. He was employed as a Cordwainer (shoemaker - leather shoes}. His children were Alfred (1844) and Eliza (1845) - on the 1861 census Alfred Cork was living in Sculcoates, Hull. I cannot find any info. on William Cork's wife. Anyone with any knowledge would be very welcome to contact.

I'm looking for more information about a George Winter Cork, probably born in 1770 in Maryland (married to Susannah Freshour and residence in West Virginia). I am trying to find out about his parents or siblings. This is the information I have about him that is causing me to seek more (I am dying to know who his ancestors are!):

"Was one of three children left orphaned and raised by a German family. Records show there were two boys and one girl. The brother John went west and was never heard from again. The girl remained in Maryland and her name is not mentioned. Unknown parents."

I got this from a family document. The children I have listed for him are John Cork, George Winter Jr. Cork, Peter Cork, Susannah "Susan" Cork, Andrew Cork, Maria or Mary "Polly" Cork, Jacob Cork, Daniel Cork, Harrison Cork.

CorK History Book

I have stated this before, but some people may have missed it. My parents received a copy of "Our Cork Families In America 1770 - 1974". In 2000, I scanned every page into Microsoft Word. I updated my line from 1974 to the present and provide copies to my brothers and sisters and first cousins. I also provided CDs to everyone so that the could edit and update their own copies. I have also sent several copies to many people that have requested them so that they can update their own lines. Updating the whole book would almost be impossible so I won't try, but having the history back to 1770 is a great thing for my family. Cork books were never sold. My family got a zerox copy in 1975 from the author. In 2000, I scanned it in Microsoft Word and updated my line. I have made several CDs for Corks and will be glad to make one for anyone that wants one. My email address is: bernardcork@netzero.com

I am a Great x 2 grand daughter of Willam Percy , Henry Cork's Brother. My mum met both kate and Harry as a child in Singapore.
We have photo's of them.
I believe when Kate died, Harry returned to Singapore and lived with another lady .If Int. I will get more info,
The Cork line is being re traced by Pete whom i see you have been in contact with and now Darren.
Would love to see what notes you have.

I'm afraid I wasn't able to find it. My mother put it in a safe place - unfortunately, so safe we haven't been able to find it.
If it's any help, my great-grandfather, who would have been born in the late 1800s was called Alfred Cork. We believe he was born in Westleigh, a small village near Tiverton. Before that, no one can remember without the family tree.

I have one older cousin that seams to think they originated from Ballymena ,Ireland. Somthing to do with yhe potato famine. My Cork family landed up in Brighton.East Sussex.Can you help in any way?

I would appreciate any info you come up with. I can go back 4 generations, to Roswell Cork beleived to have been born in Irland, who is the father of Herbert Williams Cork born 8/11/1862 in LaSalle, Illinois, USA, he is my great grand father. Grand father is Henry Ward Cork, mother Marjorie May Cork and then myself, Jo Ann Driver-Williams.

There are a great deal of Corks in that area and surrounding areas of Devon. I am a Cork and I know that I have family members in the Honiton area. My grandfather was Cecil Cork born in Westleigh. I believe a great-uncle of mine did the family tree once. I will try to find out what happened to it and let you know.

I am not sure if they are related, but my late grandmother was a cork, Elsie Cork, she had a few siblings, including Ivy Cork. Her siblings and decendants from that do live in cheshire, not far from Crewe if that helps. If you do find any links then il check this out incase you got anywhere. My mum has a cousin in carlisle, not sure if he is a cork though?

William Loveday b abt 1786 was my 3rd Great Grandfather. On the 1851 census he is living at Greenwich and puts his place of birth as Tiverton Devon. The LDS site shows a William Cork alias Loveday born at Uffculme (about 10k from Tiverton)in 1787
Is anybody able to shed more light on this?

I am researching my g g g grandmother Mary Ann Cork b. about 1825 in Kent England. Her father was Stephen Cork. I found a Stephen Cork b. Mar. 2, 1802 in Cheshire England that I think may be her father but I have not been able to confirm that yet. This Stephen that I believe to be her father is the son of John and Elizabeth Cork.

My Mary Ann married Charles Walter and had eleven children.
Any information that anyone can share woul be greatly appreciated.

There known children are: William Henry CORK b Sept 1848, Honiton, Devonshire, ENGLAND md 1) Jemima CLARK, 2) Mary Ellen HOPKINS; James CORK bc 1850 at Payhambury, Devonshire, ENGLAND; Mary J. CORK bc 1852, Amelia Charlotte CORK bc 1856 who md Samuel LOFTING; Harry George CORK bc 1861 md Lydia Joan ?; Emily CORK bc 1866; and Mima E. CORK bc 1869. if I am not mistaken,Ronnie Cork died. I think That information is correct. But he lived on Davidison Run. About 5 years ago we stopped and visited with him and his wife who used to be a good friend of my mothers as well as a cousin to her.
I do have pictures od the cemetery and would be glad to copy them and mail them to you if you send me your mailing address. Send m it on my e-mail at ceecee@ctol.net.
I have not been to the Mt. Claire cem. Where is it located/ I will try and get there in July when we go to the Cork reunion.
It would be nice if you and your family could come to the reunion. It is held in July every year at the Doddridge County Park. Take the Snowbird exit off rt. 50. to get there. When I get your address, I will give it to the ones who send out the reminders so you will get one.

Dear Ray, Just come across your entry. I have been researhing Cork Family from Norfolk for some time now and it sounds very much like your request.
My husband is related to James , one of the other children of Joseph Cork and Ann Panton ( you have Fenton) I am not sure if it is Fenton or Panton, but I think it may be Panton as some of James children has Panton as their second name.
I have a fair bit of information of Robert Cork and William Cork as well as James Cork- all three of which came to NSW.
Willing to share what I have and hope we can be of help to each other in our search.

My Corks came to Australia about 1840s from Norwich, Norfolk, England. So not sure if connected as I am trying to find out more about the Cork family in England. Have a fair bit on the 3 Cork brothers that came to Australia. The first one to come was a convict.
The three brothers were James, William and Robert.
Let me know if you have gone back any further than 1900s
