I am researching my GGGG-grandfather, Smith Cornell's line. There are so many Smith Cornell's throughout the various Cornell geneaologies, that it is becoming overwhelming! My verified family information:
[Smith Cornell] (b) 12-29-1776 in N. Carolina; (d)3-10-1846 in Carroll County MD
Married [Anna Mary Fair] (b) 1-1-1783 near Taneytown, Frederick County, MD.
Son, [Benjamin Cornell] (b) 3-21-1804 Frederick County, MD; (d) 7-2-1864
Married: [Elizabeth Bowersox] (b) 7-30-1804 about 1833
Children: [Mary Elizabeth Cornell] (b) 2-8-1834 in PA
[Harriet Cornell] (b) about 1836 in Stark County OH [Ferdinand Smith Cornell] (b) 11-8-1838 St. Joseph's Twp, Williams County, OH
[Martha Jane Cornell] (b) 1841 in St. Joseph Twp, Williams County, OH
[Miranda Eliza Cornell] (b) abt. 1843 in St. Josephs Twp, Williams County, OH
[Benjamin Franklin Cornell] (b) Aug 1846 in St. Joseph Twp, Williams County OH
I have also heard that there is/was a Cornell Geneaology Book written by John Cornell. Does anyone know of this book? I believe it has pertinent information on my Cornell line.
If anyone has any further information on this Cornell line, please contact me. Thanks.
