Classification: Query
Surnames: Cornell, Cornwell
Does anyone have information indicating whether Rev. John Cornell, the author of the 1902 Cornell Genealogy, circulated requests for family information to include in his book or know when he was gathering data for it?
There are accounts in the book which suggest he received information from certain family members, and it's easy to imagine that others came from similar sources.
The book is dated 1902, and it was definitely completed before then. Obviously, quite a bit of research was required to write it, and that probably took several years.
A query he posted about a Canadian Cornell included the name of a man who died in 1895. Could he have started before this?
