Elizabeth age 83 born Nov 29th 1926 died April 26th 2010. Native of La Puente,California. Born at the Temple Homestead. Volunteered at nelson Elem for 25 years where she received the Golden Apple Award. Survived by her husband Valentine Cosio of 66 years, 5 children,11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Services Queen of Heaven May 3,2010

Would you happen to know if your great great grandmother had a brother by the name of Miguel Atanasio Cosio?

Hi,

I was replying because i noticed that there is a Banaga in your family. I am 22 and Banaga is my Fathers given name. I really dont have any history on the name, but if you or you family might i would love to collect..

I am looking for information about Maria Josefa de Cosio, married to Ramon Fuentes de Hoyos in Monclova, Coahuila on 20 February 1838. Their children were: Feliz, Rosario, Maria Carlota, Manuel, Maria Ramona, Manuel Lorenzo, Teodora, Jose Roberto, Emiliano, Salvador and Santiago. Any information about the Cosio families in Coahuila would be appreciated.

Where in Germany? I believe it was in Prussia. That is where his younger brother Carl was born anyway. Carl being my great great great great grandfather. The year was around 1820, Carl was born in 1822 and his brother was "just a bit older"(excerpt from his sons memoirs). I too hope that we can come up with some kind of connection. None of this sounds familiar now but I least I can check into it. I had nothing to go after the book I read said he came to Los Angeles. I wish it would have said from where! Can you tell me where in Germany your Adolph was born and year? I hope we can find some connection here. Lori

Thank you for the quick reply. I Had hoped to find that we had a connection, however your info about the pharmacy only proves to confuse me more. Our Adolf Junge' was indeed born in Germany, around 1820. We know that he lived on a farm in Illinois during the 1860's. From there, not much more is known. His brother Carl, did have dealings in California, so it may stand to reason that Adolf could have ended up going to California at some point. If any of this is at all familiar, please feel free to e-mail me back, if not, then I do wish you loads of luck with your search.

In the census it says he was born in Germany. I know he came to Los Angeles, California around 1870's and was a pharmacist on Main st. That was in a book that I can't seem to find the info right now. Lori

May I inquire about your Adolf Junge? Was he born in Germany, America, or elsewhere? Our family line has an Adlof Junge in it, so I am curious if there is a connection.

Josephine is the daughter of Joseph Albert Smith and Gladys Smith of Savannah Georgia. Last saw my mother approx 1953 in Hawaii. Any information would be gratefully received.

Cosio is my great great grandmothers maiden name. Her name is Carmen, she was married to Pedro Garcia. They had 6 children , 4 girls and 2 boys. Time frame is 1850 - 1960, my great aunt, one of their daughters passed away in the late 1950s. (NOTE: She is the only one I remeber as a small child). Her name was Concepcion. Her sisters names are Elizabeth Banaga, Herlinda Aguilar and Jesus Rubalcaba. Her brothers names are Luis and Pedro jr. There's lots of names but no one to match them to. If any of this rings a bell please contact me.
