For anyone who wants the genealogy of Cottage's of Cambridgeshire, I did the Cottage line back to 1664. If you download from the Mormon website the .paf files - (for free) I will send you my file to put in it. It is easy to find on their website, you need that file to download my file. My single name is Angela Cottage and if you need to contact me, please do so. e-mail address is angela_koblitz@hotmail.com. (There are a few mistakes, but I'm not into geneology any more and can't be bothered to correct them.)

KRIVOKUCA sounds like krrreevohkoochah... krivo means crooked kuca means house... literal translation of this surname is Crooked house.

COTTAGE was most likely KATIC (son of Kate)who came mostly from an area about 40 miles west of the capital of Zagreb, Croatia. KRIVOKUCA would appear to come from an area about 30 miles WSW of Zagreb.

Robert Jerin
Croatian Heritage Museum
Cleveland Ohio

Hi
I've just found a family link with Eliza COTTAGE born app 1847 Linton Cambridgeshire. From her marriage details (on the IGI) she married 15 September 1867 Charles CUTTER born app 1850 Hadstock Essex. Eliza's father is listed as George COTTAGE (also from the IGI marriage)
I would love to hear from anyone related to Eliza or George COTTAGE
Regards
Shirley

My great-grandmother was supposed to be a Cottage from Bobtown, Greene County, Pa. I believe she came from Yugoslavia and was born in the late 1800s. I don't know much else about her other than she married Mile Krivokuca/Mike Krivosky. They lived in Grant Town, Marion County, WV. Possible children:
Michael Richard Kervaski 1915-1991
George Krevosky d. 1945 at Iwo Jima
Mitch
Dorothy

Thanks for reply. I have not looked at the Cottage family for a while and recently lost a lot of info from my computer! I have looked through my paper files though and do have Lydia Cottage b. 10 July 1842 and bap 31 July 1842 in Linton parents John Cottage and Martha Strange m. 9 april 1842 in Linton (John's second wife). I guess this is your Lydia. When I began researching this name I was sent a lot of information on the Cottage family going back to Jeffrey Cottey c. 1630. I have not had time to check all this information for myself but the bits I have done (ie my immediate decendants) do seem to be OK. I will gladly let you have this info. Perhaps you could email me offlist tdavidson@tinyworld.co.uk with your snail mail address and I can send you a copy (unfortunately do not have it all back on the computer?!) Best wishes Trudie

Looking for information about the Cottages
of Linton, Cambridgeshire. My line of the family includes marriage with the Strange
family, also of Cambridgeshire. Finally,
Lydia Cottage married Robert Dennis of Linton and the family [Dennis] moved to
Gravesend in Kent. Would appreciate any
information. Thank you
