I'm searching for info on a Lizzie Parker who was married to Tone Beamon and possibly lived and was born some where in the Carolina's.

I'm looking for the parents of Francis Joseph Crewe, b. 6 Apr 1890 in Harford Co., MD, d. 21 Feb 1968; married Alice S. Carroll, b. 10 Feb 1892, d. 10 Jun 1982. They had one son that I know of, Jerome Crewe who was married to my cousin Mildred R. Michael. Both Jerome and Mildred are deceased, but they resided in Buckeystown, Frederick Co., MD.

Crewe's on Guernesy Island

Five Immigrants and DNA

We are seeking new participants for our Crews/Crewe/Cruse/Screws DNA study, and right now is a great time for testing as FTDNA is having a sale through August 31:

Our project has 25 members and has already established close and or perfect matches between members of the Cruse family and Crews family. Members of the Crewe family could also expect to identify relationships given the linguistic name pattern.

A Surname Project traces members of a family that share a common surname. Since surnames are passed down from father to son like the Y-chromosome, this test is for males taking a Y-DNA test. Females do not carry their father's Y-DNA so the tested individual must be a male who wishes to discover his direct paternal line (father's father's father's...) This is done with a Y-DNA12, Y-DNA37, or Y-DNA67 marker test. Although more expensive, more markers tested will provide more confidence of where one belongs in a family tree. Females who would like to check their direct paternal line should have a male relative with this surname order a Y-DNA test.

Crewe family of Denbigh, also West Derby & Toxteth area

On the 1881 Census there were several members of the 'Crewe' family born in Rossett, Denbigh. They were living in West Derby & Toxteth area's.
I would love to contact anyone researching the name Crewe please.

I have a Laura Pearl Crewe b 1905 daughter of Benjamin & Louisa Crewe of Elliston, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland. My mother is a Crewe and Louisa would have been a distant cousin.

John and Percy Crewe ca. 1860 - 1940, Minnesota

My grandfather, John, was a physician practicing in Zumbrota and Rochester, Minnesota. His brother, Percy Crewe, was a federal judge living near Falls Church, Virginia.
John married Elsie Van Campen and had four children. Percy married Margaret .... but had no children that I know of.
I believe both brothers were born in North Dakota.

Hi Keith,
I have Mary Speed born 1828, Rough Hill, Cheshire. Her parents were Samuel Speed & Mary Thomas.
Mary Speed married John Crewe June 14th 1850 at St. Martin's Church, Great Broughton, Cheshire.
Their daughter Mary Crewe born 1853 in Eccleston, Cheshire.is our line. Mary died 1932 & is buried in Allerton cemetery, Liverpool. Mary's siblings were born in Rossett, Denbigh.
Any connection?

Hi,
I am desperate to find the marriage of James Crewes and Mary Ann Williams / Rivet (maiden name) Williams being her first marriage.
James Crewes was born in Salisbury Wilts abt 1849 ish
Mary Ann was born in Dublin Ireland abt1840 ish
On the 1871 census they were guests at The Whittington Cat in highgate hill Islington.
The only other information I have on them is their daughters birth cert in 1871, born in Watford Herts,so poss they were married abt 1870??
I have searched everywhere,I don't know whether they were married in Ireland or UK.
If anyone can help I would be so grateful,as I don't know which way to turn and I would love to trace the Crewes and Rivet's and poss the Williams.

Hi Shirley,
Sorry, no, -West Byfleet in 1940 and Bridport earlier. But there are lots of Crewe references in Cheshire and Caulke Abbey, Derbyshire, and Bishop Nathaniel Crewe in Durham. I haven't enough information to make any connections.
