I looked at it for a few minutes last night and there might have been 2 John/Jean Cronier in MS. I'll look some more later today and see if I can figure it out.

Thank you for sending that information.... I found Frank on the Ben cronier page you sent me he was Bens son. I even saw the names of some of his brothers and sister that I know about right there with him. Thank you.

So Franks grandfather was Jean?? Where did you find this information? I will look further into this and see if i can find any connection. By chance is the Charles on your list the pirate?? I read up on a Charles Cronea who was a pirate.

I do not have him in my lists. My ancestor Charles Cronier was born 1-14-1805 in Marseilles, France, but he came to America alone (not with any family). I have tried but cannot find him in France. I see that Frank's grandfather Jean Baptiste Cronier was born in France in 1808...they may be connected. I ran across Jean Baptiste Cronier when I first started searching, but have not been able to connect them.

well Frank was born april 5 1922 in Alabama. He served in WWII, married Ruth Simpson and they adopted a son, Thomas Cronier. They moved to Salono Co California and he died june 6 1982. Thats all the information I have on him.

My dad Tom lives here in wisconsin now, california wasnt treating him to well I guess. If you would ask Franks sibling about that for me it would be great. Sorry, no, I do not know the names of Tom's birth parents, but Frank has one remaining sibling that I could ask. Does Tom still live in California? He should remember my parents quite well, ask him about his Aunt Hazel.

yes he was adopted by relatives. Do you happen to know what his real birth parents names are or were they from ohio as well?? What the last name was?? If Tom was adopted by his aunt and uncle, it would have to be from Ruth's side.Ruth's family was from Ohio. His birth parents did not come from Uncle Frank's side. I am the daughter of Frank's sister, Hazel, and would be happy to share info, if you have any questions.

My father Thomas Cronier was born in Alabama in 1959 and then was adopted who he believed was his aunt and uncle, Frank and Ruth Cronier. Maybe we can help eachother out.

CHARLES CRONEA.
He gave his birthplace as Marseilles, France, but I was told by a genealogy researcher in France
"We can tell you that Cronia or Cronnia do not exist in France. However, CRONIER and CRONNIER exist in France, but only in the half North, especially in Ile-de-France (area of Paris), Picardie, Normandie.
You said that Charles Cronier was born in "Marseilles, France".However, is it really Marseille, the second city of France and quite important port (but located in the south) ?
There is a town named "MARSEILLES in BEAUVAISIS" which is in PICARDIE which would correspond more to the regions of origin of the Cronier families."
