I found that my great grandfathers name is Benjamin Cronier and I have the names of all of his children.

I can tell you that my great grandfathers name was Benjamin W. Cronier, quite possibly the one on the list that you have here.

Ive done some digging and got ahold of Frank Croniers obituary.... it says he had a brother named Henry Cobb. I dont know if you have came across this name in your research but if you have let me know. Thank you.

My name is Tonya Cronier, I dont know anything about Charles yet but I've been digging and found that my grandfathers name was Frank Cronier. I believe his fathers name was Ben Cronier. If any of these names sound familiar let me know.

i just wanted to pass on to you in my research i came to find out that the last name cronier was also spelled cronr with an chachaut or little line over the r. that might help what ever you find out please pass on to me my name is robert cronier i live in louisiana my dads grandfather or great-grandfather was named charles cronier. dont know if same family but likly due to so few of us.

I am searching for info on the children of Pierre Cronier born abt 1861 and Marie Helene Lejuene born abt 1863. They had the following children: Francois (Frank)born abt 1884 - my grandfather, Pierre abt 1857, Marie abt 1892, Florida 1895, Joseph 1897, Marie R. 1900, Lydia 1903, Helene 1906.

CHARLES CRONEA.
He gave his birthplace as Marseilles, France, but I was told by a genealogy researcher in France
"We can tell you that Cronia or Cronnia do not exist in France. However, CRONIER and CRONNIER exist in France, but only in the half North, especially in Ile-de-France (area of Paris), Picardie, Normandie.
You said that Charles Cronier was born in "Marseilles, France".However, is it really Marseille, the second city of France and quite important port (but located in the south) ?
There is a town named "MARSEILLES in BEAUVAISIS" which is in PICARDIE which would correspond more to the regions of origin of the Cronier families."
