I am the great grand-daughter of Warren Alfred Whitnack and Minnie Belle Dagner. From what I understand Minnie and May are sister but I might be incorrect as this is the first I have heard of other siblings. Any information would be appreciated

John Dagner Sr and Sarah Klopstock-Dagner are my great-grand parents. He had four siblings August Dagner and three sisters Louise, Rachel and one name that is unknown. John Dagner Sr. and Sarah actually had 5 children, the four you mentioned (boys Walter and John Jr.; girls Vinnie and Alice) and Irene Dagner, my grandmother. She was born 1914, very late in John Sr. and Sarah’s life.
In a family portrait of August Dagner shows that he had five children. Unfortunately the picture is undated and his wife and children’s names are not listed. I do believe that August was in the Salvation Army, I have photograph of him in a uniform and in the family portrait he is wearing a Salvation Army shirt under his jacket.
As of today I have not seen Maria Dagner’s name or been unable to determine where in Germany John Sr was born, but I have not studied all the pictures and documents that were just passed down to me. I do know that my grandmother was born in Romeo Michigan and the house has been in the family over 100 years.

Lydia Strehlow Dagner

I am searching for any information or a relative of Lydia Strehlow Dagner. She resided in Hartland, Minnesota, in the early 1900's. Her brother Charles Strehlow married my Great Great Aunt Ida Sperry in Waltham, Minnesota. I can not find any information on these 3 family members. Its almost like they all vanished. Lydia had 2 children at the time of Ida
and Charles's marriage. Any help would be appreciated, as I am at a dead end and don't know where to turn...Thank You..

Where were your Dagners born? I am looking for the ancestors of Anton Dagner, son of William Dagner, both born in Germany, immigrated to NYC, 1928.

Mary Dorthea Caroline Dagner was born in Mecklenburg, Schwerin, Germany. All the other Dagner's I have only that they were born in Germany.

Do you know if she had a brotheror uncle or something, my great-great grandfathers name was William born in 1840 and died in 1890, He married Agusta marquardt~~they did not come to America until 1881~they were from Pagenkopf, Germany. George Jacob Dagner - b 8/6/1864 in NY. He was an apprentice for an organ manufacturer for a while and later a treasurer for HB Kirk & Co. His parents were John Daniel Dagner and Louise Steurer. His siblings included John, Katie, Andrew and Louisa. George died on 7/1/1918 in NYC. I appreciate any help on any of these indiviudals. Thanks!

My Dagner family was involved with the production and distribution of alcohol (rye). My guess is that the bottle was from some type of alcoholic beverage.

Father and two sons came to US 1855. Settled first in LaCrosse, Wi. Two Gottliebs went to Owatonna, MN in 1857. Ernest stayed in LaCrosse, served in Civil War, joined brothers in <1868. Married Elizabeth Grass.
Ernest's children: Mary Ida 1869, Albert W 1872, Augusta Ellen 1874, Ernest O 1877, George E 1882, Alma 1886.
Gottlieb and Sophia's children are Louisa 1868, Emma 1870, Ernest G 1871, Louis A 1875, Edward John 1876, Bertha H 1878, Helen 1881, Edith 1883, William 1885, Sophia 1887, Mayme D 1888.
Would like any information about these people as well as German/Preussen origins of Gottlieb, Julia S, Frederick, Gottlieb.

Looking for any information on the following people: John Dagner Sr born 2/3/1863, August Carl Dagner born 6/5/1868, Walter H Dagner born 2/16/1887, Vinnie Dagner born 7/28/1888, John Dagner Jr born 6/23/1893, Alice Dagner born 5/7/1891, and Sarah Dagner.
These names were found in a family bible, but I don't know how to connect them. My husband's great grandmother was Maria Dagner born 9/29/1865.

I know very little; but hope to find someone reseaching the Dagner Family. It is believed this family moved into Cuming County, Nebraska sometime during their immigration. Louisa married Carl Luedke and knowledge of one daughter, Fredericka exists from a marriage certificate.

I have an old bottle that I am researching that was found in upstate NY. It is marked H.B. Kirk & Co., I don't know anything about who you are looking for, I'm wondering what H.B. Kirk & Co., was. My grandmother was Lydia Strehlow Dagner the one you are enquiring about. Actully it is Albert Lea, MN where she lived with us till her death in a nursing home. Hartland is where my mother was from and it could be she lived with my folks early on there. There is more ancestry out there but do know some.

Sorry, the wording s/b "after" her children were born. Ida May's bithdate was May 19,1878.

Seems that the birthdate for Ida May has to be incorrect as you show her being born in 1918, before her children??? Mother had her down as dying on June 11 1957 also. I will send you a copy of mother's hand-written Registry if you wish.

I had an aunt called Ida May Dagner (Fread) born May 19, 1878 died June 11, 1957. married Walter Fread July 11, 1894.
According to my data there were two issue, Charles born April 1896 and Ivan Fread born December 1898. Seems Walter was born in IL in March 1872. There seems to be some descepancy in dates and I think perhaps that you have the data on some later generation issue. My mother was Ida May's sister and I know I can recall her mentioining this aunt and that she was married to this Fread (pronounced as in bread). There is another query regards Ida May's brother Ora Edward Dagner on this board if you wish tio have a look at my response there.

Any information appreciated. She was born in Germany, met and married Frank Heller in Minnesota Lake, Minnesota, had eleven children, moved between Moorehead, Minnesota, and Fargo North Dakota, and divorced husband at the Faribault County Courthouse, Faribault, Minnesota. Settled in Fargo, N.Dakota where my mother, Luella was born, youngest of children. Mary Heller moved to San Francisco then to Modesto California where she died in 1942.
