I am a Dalby descendant from the Texas group. I knew from my research that Edward Benjamin? Dalby stayed behind in Tenn. He was born in 1797 in N.C. and died 12 August 1834 in Belle Buckle, Bedford Co., Tn. He had the following children:
Benjamin Henry Yandell
George W.
Emily
Woodson Knight
Frances Ann
Rhoda Jane
William G.
Minerva E.
All were born in Belle Buckle.

A hobby of genealogical reserach is a wonderful journey and I do hope you will take what I have shared with you and run with it. Dallas Public Library has one of the finest genealogical sections in the country. I hope you will use it. You will find a lot on the internet but it is better to check other people's work for they may made mistakes.
In case you don't know, the 1850 census list the head of the household and then names the wife if she is still living and the children, giving their ages! Then every 10 years is another census. Before 1850, only the head of the household is listen and the ages of everyone else.
Warmest regards and good luck in your search
