Danks, 78, &lt;br&gt;a life-long resident of the &lt;br&gt;Carter Hill area, Corry, Pa.,&lt;br&gt; died Thursday, January 24, 2008.&lt;br&gt; Mrs. Danks was born April 13, 1929&lt;br&gt; in Corry, daughter of the late&lt;br&gt;        Joseph and Caroline Elchynski.&lt;br&gt; She was raised and educated in the Carter Hill area &lt;br&gt;and graduated from Corry High School.&lt;br&gt; As a young woman,&lt;br&gt; Mrs. Danks worked at the General Electric Plant &lt;br&gt; in Erie for eight years. &lt;br&gt; She then went to work at the Welch Foods plant &lt;br&gt;in North East in 1957.&lt;br&gt; Mrs. Danks was recently &lt;br&gt;honored by Welch Foods Inc. for 50 years of service &lt;br&gt;with the company. This accomplishment had never been recognized for any other employee &lt;br&gt;in all of the years Welch Foods has been in North East.&lt;br&gt; She was a member of St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church &lt;br&gt;in Corry. Mrs. Danks enjoyed spending time &lt;br&gt; with her family and friends.&lt;br&gt; She also enjoyed gardening &lt;br&gt;     and polka dancing. &lt;br&gt;In addition to her parents, &lt;br&gt;she was preceded in death by her husband,&lt;br&gt; Ronald J. Danks Sr. on May 27, 1984.&lt;br&gt; They were married November 23, 1951 in Kingswood, W.Va. &lt;br&gt;She was also preceded in death by &lt;br&gt; two brothers, Anthony  Elchynski.&lt;br&gt; and Michael Elchynski. &lt;br&gt; Mrs. Danks is survived by &lt;br&gt; two daughters, Christine Rexroad and her husband, Robert &lt;br&gt;of Corry &lt;br&gt;and Tamara Mock and her husband, John of St. Petersburg, Fla.; &lt;br&gt;four   sons,    Ronald J. Danks Jr. &lt;br&gt;   and his wife, Mary, &lt;br&gt;    Frank A. Danks all of Corry,&lt;br&gt; Joseph W. Danks of Erie &lt;br&gt; and Michael K. Danks and his wife, Heather of St.     Petersburg, Fla.&lt;br&gt; and by ten grandchildren, Jennifer, R.J.,&lt;br&gt; Tiffani, Nikki, Cortney, Joseph, &lt;br&gt; Jacob and Kevin Danks &lt;br&gt;and Jack &lt;br&gt;and Carter Mock. &lt;br&gt; Several nieces and nephews &lt;br&gt; and their families also survive.&lt;br&gt; Friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home, &lt;br&gt;315 N. Center Street, Corry &lt;br&gt;on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. &lt;br&gt;A Scripture service will be held there &lt;br&gt;on Sunday at 6 p.m. &lt;br&gt;A Prayer service will be held at the funeral home &lt;br&gt;on Monday at 2:30 p.m. &lt;br&gt;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial &lt;br&gt; at St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church&lt;br&gt; at 3 p.m. Rev.       <description>Henry R. Danks, born in Pennsylvania in abt 1857.  Died when he was thirty in 1887 of typhoid fever.  He was married to Nancy Bechtel(Often misspelled as Betchel).  His parents were John Danks and Mary______.  Most family trees put his parents as Henry Danks and Anna Russell but his death record filed in Huron County gives John and Mary.  There is an obit of Anna Russell Danks Smith that names Henry as hers but at this point I'm more inclined to think that whoever wrote the obit made an incorrect assumption.  His parents were very likely still living when he died and the death record is more likely to be accurate.  I would really like confirmation either way with birth records or some other evidence.       <description>An Internet posting (of a few years back) indicates you have been looking for info. on one Thomas A. Danks Jr.--if I jotted the info. down correctly.  The following may be of some interest to you:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;A Thomas A. Danks, Jr. died May 29, 1950 in Mobile, Alabama, USA.  He was a Band Sergeant in the US military during World War I, and after that war toured Europe with the John Philip Sousa band giving concerts there.  I do not know his date of birth, but I knew him as a music student; I would guess his age at the time of death as about 50 to 55.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;If you think this man is related to the Danks who came to America from Scotland, and you are interested in more information, let me know and I'll share with you whatever I know.       <description>y grandfather Thomas Danks migrated to united states about that time . HIs wife was Mary (Matsy). They wound up in San  Diego  CA . They had three daughters,all are deceased.I don't know a lot about my family history. I do known that lost their wealth in bad investments ,possibly Russian rubels.</description>

I am Ruth Jane Boland Marr nee Danks, my father was George Robb Danks, Thomas's brother. My Dad was no 10 in the family line up!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;This is a guess, but I think you are the daughter of my cousin Jane(nee Campbell).       <description>Omar C. Starr is my great-great-grandfather, through his daughter Minnie Maude.  My grandmother was raised by Omar and Emma in Tabor, Iowa.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt;We get back as far as Daniel and it pretty much ends.  Confusing, also, as I find him listed as Daniel S. and Daniel L. but always married to Mercy Danks.  I'm guessing that the L/S confusion is caused by transcription of handwritten records.  Does anyone know what his middle name was?  I can fill in some descendants of Omar Starr for you, but have very little on ancestors.</description>

      <description>Mary (Morris) Danks was likely a daughter of Isaac Morris and his wife, Mary Heath (mentioned in the will of Captain Samuel Ruggles of Roxbury). Mary (Heath) Morris was a daughter of William Heath(son of Peleg Heath and grandson of William Heath who came from England) and Anna Ruggles, dau.of Captain Samuel Ruggles and 2nd wife, Anna Bright and grandaughter of Thomas Ruggles of Nanzing, Essex, England. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The Morris family of Roxbury is also connected with the Heath family back in England, so I suspect father Isaac Morris derives from the Morris family of Roxbury somehow. Possibly a grandson of Edward and Grace (Bett) Morris, but I have yet to determine which of their sons could be his father. Most likely suspect is Isaac Morris who married Hannah Mayo. Any ideas are welcome????</description>

      <description>I have information on John Danks'christening in 1812 in England.  The Danks were originally from the Birmingham area of southwest England.  Some of them went to the Lanarkshire area of Scotland in the 1830's to work in the iron/steel industry.  They came to Troy, Rensselaer, NY and the Cleveland, Cuyahoga, OH areas in the US in late 1840's.  They were in the iron/steel business in this country.  A brother of my ancestor developed the Danks puddling furnace and sold a large number of them worldwide.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <description>My Grandfather was named Edward Danks Coulton.  He was born and lived in Freckleton Lancashire.  I can trace his grandmother back to Christina Johnston born 1837 in Carlisle whose parents, James and Margaret Johnston previously lived in Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire.  Family history has it that the Danks name came from Scotland, certainly a lot of the boys in the family had the name so it must have been important.  The family also owned a red Christening robe (for boys only) which was apparently a traditional garment (sadly now lost)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;If anyone can link to this connection I woudl be greatful</description>

      <description>I don't know if you ever solved your puzzle but I have been tracing a friends tree this evening and I think the answer lies in the 1851 census for Eliza Hall where it states she had an illegitimate child in 1850 called Elizabeth who then appears on later census as Elizabeth Danks, however when marrying she may well of reverted to her "real" name Elizabeth Hall or Eliza Hall Danks. I have been through the family on each census to check.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Moses married Eliza Hall in 1861 and correctly appears on the 1861 census and onwards married to her. Moses is also on the 1851 census with his widowed mother.Moses is consistently listed as a Miner on each census and is in the same area each time.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Jacqui</description>

Thomas Danks was a miner, and Fanny was a dealer in China Ware. They lived in Benthall Lane, Broseley, Shropshire. Kath, there is so much more.       <description>Looking for information on Thomas Danks. Originally left Glasgow, Scotland shortly after WW1. Parents were Francis Danks and Jane (nee Brown). (Grandparents were Thomas &amp;amp; Janet Danks, and William &amp;amp; Agnes Brown). Family never heard from Thomas (Tommy) after leaving Scotland. Thought to have gone to America, possibly with a wife by the name of Mary...possibly to New Jersey (Princeton?)?&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Thomas' sister, Janet Robb Danks went looking for him in New York sometime between 1919-1932/3 and never found him. The family have always wondered what happened to him. Please email if the slightest connection.</description>

      <description>Hi, I have an Isaac b wft 1810-1830 to Nathaniel Earll DANKS and Betsy NEWTON. Source was:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;a href="http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&amp;amp;db=geolarson2&amp;amp;id=I142912" target="_blank"&gt;http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&amp;amp;db=geolars...&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;and I am continuing to fill in ALL gaps of DANKS (so others feel free to post and I'll share what I've got) particularly those that settled Licking Co., and Ashtabula Co. OH, then later Dane Co., WI, and then Jones Co., IA&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Nathaniel apparently died in Syracuse, Onondaga Co., NY, in 1853 (he was b. 1792). Also Nathaniel's father was also named Isaac (Captain) and was one of the early arrivals in Onondaga.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I'll see what I come up with - feel free to drop me a note directly.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Best&lt;br&gt;Andrew</description>

      <description>Seeking connection with descendants of Isaac Danks and wife Mary (?).  He was born abt 1816 and is in Lysander, Onandoga County, NY in 1840 but then removed family to Cass County, IN.  Five children: Elizabeth, Asenath, Merrit, Isaac and Frances.  Isaac died in Cass County May 1855.  His daughter Elizabeth married Abraham Dunham in Cass County and their daughter Ida May was my great-grandmother.  Cannot find Isaac's parents nor marriage info to Mary (?).</description>
