Farozina and Benjamin and my 5x great parents and she is a mystery to me too. I do live in Syracuse, NY and I know the cemetery where she was put to rest. I can take a picture and email it if you like? I don't think it has anymore information than what you or I have but it would be worth the effort.

Hi, I am doing research for a friend, she would like to find the birth parents & families for her father before it is too late. We are looking for a Margaret Darling, b abt 1919, who gave birth to a son 22 Mar 1936, Cathcart, Glasgow. it is beleive that Margaret, went on to marry Robert Anderson, b abt 1916. Margaret's parents could have been Robert Darling & Janet Fairgrieve. At this stage there is no information on the birth father. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated
Many Thanks
Carole

Syracuse, NY Darling's

I am interested in finding out information on C. John Darling. He was my great grandfather and he died sometime before 1930. I am also interested in his wife Eva or Ella, I believe after looking at several census records her name was Eva Morrell. After her husband passed away it appears that she eventually went back to using her maiden name. The reason that I believe that Charlie Darling died before 1930 is the census for that year has Eva listed as a widow with her living in the Eastwood section of Syracuse with her brother, Jerry Morrell, and her daughter (my grandmother)Ella with her husband Howard Seabrook and at the time their five children. I've found out a lot of information, but I'm interested in finding out the other children of Charlie and Eva Darling. I'm also interested in the house that is listed in the 1930 census that being owned by Eva Darling. The interesting thing about the house is that I nine years ago bought the house unknowingly and would like to know some of the history behind the design of the house as well as any pictures of how it looked. The year it was built was 1928 and I believe that my Great Grandmother Eva was the first owner. If anyone can help me fill in the blanks that would be awesome. I will help in any way I can as well.

Wow this is kinda crazy but Jo-Ellen is my sister and she wrote you the note the day after my birthday 12 years ago and i am just seeing it now. I know why she wrote it and I'm sure you do too. The name Darling is unique and it makes you feel like we are almost family. Well anyways my name is Jesse named after our great grandfather. So i that's all i got right now. Hope to maybe hear from you. I'll ask my sister if she ever heard from you. We don't see each other that often, she lives in PA in I am still in MA. LOL now that i look at her note she actually mentions our great grandfather. It's funny how things go round. Take care:

Jesse Brendan Darling

thanks Ken,

Been having a real hard time (big brick wall) on the SOMMERS name. but branching out & finding SOMMERS married a BOYD with daughter Lucinda marrying DARLING.
Then George Gerald Sommers married a Eunice Ann Kelly that stems from Abigail Whelpley (dau of Darling Whelpley) & William Kelly of NB, CN.
Trying to find out if any of Lucinda Sommers' family moved to the states from CN. Gave up on the Sommers/Somers name years ago, just started dabbling within the last few weeks. ANd I find all this out.

Thank you for your information & good luck in your searches.
Hi Jo-Ann,
It is so ironic that Charles B Darling and Lucinda Sommers grew up within miles of each other in Kings Co. New Brunswick and married in Salem, Mass.
Ephraim Darling and my grgrgrandfather John were brothers. Their father was Joseph Darling(1768-1843). Joseph's first marriage was to Abigail Frazee and his second wife was Mary Fenwick.

Hope this helps,
Ken Darling

Hi Cheryl,my name is Ken Darling. John Darling is my 4th great grandfather and was born we believe 1753 and died in 1819. That is where my family tree hits a dead end. The only lead I have is that John may have settled in Canada in Southampton, Nova Scotia but I have not been able to find any records to support this lead. Good luck with your search.

As you can see I think...my name is Pam Darling. My fathers name was Leon E. Darling Sr, I have a brother Leon E. Darling II. As a child my dad told me the story about the streetcar in Ann Arbor and from what I can see it is true. How cool.
My Mom Florence C. Darling when to heaven on 3/23/2011, she was 94 and I miss her so much.
I had an Uncle Ronald, Uncle Lester (my Dads twin brother), Uncle Marion and Dwight, who I did not know. Marion Lee and Glenna were my grand parents.
We all lost track of each other through the years, and when Mom started going down I tried to do a family tree here on Ancestry.com, but she passed away shortly after I started and I stopped.
I would love to find my cousins and learn more about the family.
If any of you remember me, please write, I would love to hear from you all.
I am a little confused myself. I don't seem to find a Laura Bates in any of my trees. She is not a direct link to anyone in my family but may be in one of them by marriage. I do have a Widder in my family her name is Mildred and she married George Gamin. The Darling family line is for my son-in-law and I have very little on them as I just started that family tree a couple weeks before Christmas.

I know that my gggrandmother Charlotte Easter (1875-1961) is the person in my family related to the Darlings. Her mother must have been a Darling, but I can't yet find any other details after that point. I've been told before that I'm descended from William Brook Darling, Grace's younger brother.

I am looking for information on John Darling who was born in New York state in 1827. In the 1860 census he and his wife Mary and children Edson, Jane and Edgar are living in Freemont, Newaygo, Michigan. In 1870 he is living in Mecosta County Michigan and is the owner and operator of the Darling House hotel. He died in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan in 1908. At the time of his death he was living with his daughter Anna Fryant. The death record says his father's name was Andrew Darling, no mother is listed. I cannot seem to find John before the 1860 census. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My name is Lisa Munro and I believe that your husband is my fathers brother. I hope you don't mind me emailing but I've been trying to search for my dad and came across some post's where you have tried to find Joan Dorothy Munro. I have just recently got a copy of his birth certificate, Craig Munro born 16th November 1959 in Basingstoke. My Mum is Sharon Munro and they married either 78 or 79 and I was born in 1980 at Basildon General Hospital.

The last I saw of Craig was when I was about 6 or 7 and then I've heard nothing since. I understand from my Mum that he had a sister called Theresa who he tried to trace when they were married. They were only married for about a year and the last known place he lived is Canvey Island in Essex.

I know from my Mum his year of birth and that he was born in November and when searching for his birth certificate, this was the only entry. I was told that he was adopted but I don't know at what age this happened.

I see that at some point you posted a message trying to trace Craig - have you been able to find him or Joan?
