My great grand fathe came from England an married here in SAntiago Chile on August 18th, 1839 with Meredes Silva.
I have no more information about them even where and when they are resting.

have a Mary Darlington, Husband Henry was born 8/24/1857. Father Thomas Darlington B. 11/26/1810, D 3/30/1864 living in Salem Ohio in 1848. Hope it helps

Aparently seems to be a confussion.But anyway I am also looking for Darlington but in Chile.
Thomas Darlington my great grand father married (Aug 18th, 1839) with Mercedes Silva.

She maried Alexander Parker and moved to Missouri. They had 8 kids. One of which Anna was my gg grandma and mainly lived in South Dakota. WEST CHESTER, May 30.--"Hedgeley," the beautiful home of Professor and Mrs. Richard Darlington, near this place, was the scene of a notable wedding, at 6:o'clock this evening, when their eldest daughter, Miss Alice Elizabeth became the bride of Dr. Joseph Scattergood, a rising young physician of West Chester.

The wedding was by Friends' ceremony, Robert Alexander, of Philadelphia, uncle of the bride, reading the certificate, which was signed by nearly all the guests present. Miss Grace Alexander Darlington, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Miss Sara DeHaven, of Westtown; Miss Mary S. Ash, of Philadelphia; Miss Pattie D. Huey, of Chadd's Ford, and Miss Elizabeth Rothrock, of West Chester.

Henry Scattergood, of Philadelphia, was the groom's best man, and the ushers were Vincent Gillpin and Dr. Herbert Grubb, of West Chester, and Alfred Scattergood and Charles Alexander, of Philadelphia. The ceremony was witnessed by about four hundreds friends of the contracting parties.

Have a scan of a photo that is identified as May Darlington, photographer was in Cincinnati, OH. The photo is from my gr-grandmother Elizabeth YOUNG Brunner's album that has a note was from the middle of 1880s. Do not have any other information other than that name but she appears young..possibly later teens.

I seem to remember that there were other photos, non professional, of a May included with the numerous photos. Elizabeth was born/lived in Georgetown, OH until she moved to Los Angeles in 1920. If there is any interest about this young lady, let me know.

My Great Great Grandfather was Henry James Darlington who was born in Wolverhampton in 1871. He had 3 brothers;
William John Edmund Darlington, b- 1866 Staffordshire,
Frederick Thomas Darlington, b-1871 Wolverhampton
Ernest Albert Darlington, b- 1877 Wolverhampton Staffordshire.
There Father was Valentine Darlington who was born in 1830 in Shropshire and there mother was Mary Lockely born in Sedgley Staffordshire in 1835.
Henry married Lucy Ann Waith and had one child Edith Mary Darlington, who is my gr grandmother. She was born in 1891 in Rochdale, Manchester. They had moved back to Wolverhampton by 1901 and Lucy had died. Henry went on to marry some one else.
I knwo that one of Henry's brother's had a son also called Valentine .
If anyone is laso related or has any info, let me know.

I too am researching the Darlingtons from the Atherton/Tyldesley/Little Hulton area. I am stuck on Sarah Ann Darlington (nee Eccleston). She married Joseph Darlington in 1902, and was widowed 1910 (Pretoria mine disaster). She had two daughters (Edna Teresa b.1903 d.1994 & Ethel b.1905 d.199?). Sometime after 1911 she moved with her daughters to Birmingham, but I cannot trace an address or date of death. I was told by her grandaughter that she is buried in Witton (Birmingham) cemetery and died in the late 1940's/early 1950's), but no trace can be found.

I am sorry not to have replied before but have been on holiday. I have no information about Charlotte Darlington and the only Thomas I have was born in 1843 in Little Hulton in Lancashire.

Her grandmothers maiden name was Kezia Howell . She married my nans grandfather Thomas Hollins Hallam in 1897 and had 5 children then married John Tunstall In 1937 after having 4 more children .
One of these was Ivy Tunstall who married a Bill Darlington in 1937 at St Andrews Church , Porthill , Staffordshire .

Trying to make a connection.

I can't seem to make a connection here. My Grandfathers middle name is Ross Darlington Johnston. The middle name is confusing, there doesn't seem to be a family tree with that name in it, at least that I can find.
However, the names Smith, Boyd, and Rankin do connect.
