Yes, it is hard to read, but very interesting. Did you say that you have the name of the ship they came over on? I would be very interested in that.

Dauphine Family Roots

I'm looking for any help in researching my "Dauphine" Family roots in Franklin Lousiana. My grandfather, Oscar J. Dauphine II was born there on Nov. 22, 1922 and passed away in Brooklyn, New York this past December 23, 2002. His parents were Oscar J. Dauphine and Martha Copper. I was told that my granddad's grandfather was a slave on the Cady (I was given this info orally so I am not sure of the spelling) Plantation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Note: My dad (who has also passed on) was Oscar J. Dauphine III and he was born to my Granddad and my Grandmother Mercedes Dupree.

I need info on all branches except the one leading to New York as I'm am aware of these. Thank you very much.

Confused in Michigan

Hello! I just finished a history of St. John's Episcopal Church in Decatur, IL. I am looking for more information about one of our Rectors, W.W. Daup. He served in our church from 1935 to 1940. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
I believe that me may have dropped the last few letters of his original last name.
