Surnames: Davis, Curd, Cross
Would like some info on this Davis family. According to a bio on KYGENWEB, Anderson had sons, William H, Benjamin K., Edwin A. and daughters Elizabeth J, and Catherine C. He was married twice, first to Catherine Curd, daughter of Jesse and Jane Ellis Curd of Hanover County, VA. and then to Louisa A. Cross daughter of Nathaniel and Mary Cross also of Hanover County, VA. Anderson was of Welsh parentage and lived in Henderson County, IL around 1838-1850, and then moved to Barren County, KY. Anderson had a brother Nathaniel Hardin Davis who also lived in those places. The bio says Anderson had 4 brothers and 9 sisters.I am looking for a connection between these Davis' and my relation, Benjamin Davis, who was born about 1800 in VA. and went to KY and then to Henderson County, Illinois about the same time. Any info on this family would be appreciated.
