Hi Lorraine,
I'm afraid I don't have anyone by those names yet that fit with your timeline. Closest I have is a William Deadman born 1825 in East Meon, who moves to Farnham, Surrey. If you find your William came from the Alton/East Meon area of Hampshire please get back to me.
Selina.

Lucy Deadman Thurman Elms

I am searching information on the above named person who stated that she was born in IL on June 25, 1824. She married Hadden Elms, supposedly in Independence County, AR. She and Hadden lived there all their lives and are buried there.
Hadden Elms' grandfather was Elisha Hadden who lived in NC and when he left there, he went to KY and then to IL. I am wondering if Lucy's family traveled with them or if they lived in the same area as Elisha's family did in Coles County, IL. The Elms family traveled through KY and then IL as well. No one in our family knows why Lucy was known as Lucy Deadman Thurman. An Elms researcher told me that he had info that she was adopted, but I haven't seen any proof of that. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Linda Wilson

Georgina DEBNAM married William ARMSTRONG... but who was William ARMSTRONG? Some researchers have erroneously given him as the son of James ARMSTRONG & Eliza DAVIS... a fact which has misled others for quite a few years. I would like to hear from anyone who knows the TRUE origins of said William ARMSTRONG (apparently died 1882, Young, NSW but with no parents given in registration... drat!)
Michael, FORBES, NSW, AUSTRALIA

I have a Elijah Sr., Elijah Jr. and a Elijah III, but no Frank in my data base.

The Deadman's/Dedmon's are not my direct line. They are there as collateral lines, or, to be of help in my research. Elijah Jr. signed the marriage petition for Nancy Galey/Howell to married Craven P Hollis (My line) in 1842 Shelby Co., Kentucky. Also, a Deadman signed as a witness to a Galey will, and were purchasers of estates for Hollis, Robinson and Rice (My Line) in Shelby and Jefferson Co. KY.

I wish I could be of more help. I have recieved interesting help from Floyd Dedmon. I will forward this notice and see if he can help you.

Sorry I'm not much help! Happy Hunting! Rosie

I have a marriage record for CP Hollis and Nancy Howell in Shelby County, Kentucky on Sept 1st, 1842. For Nancy, Elijah Deadman signed the papers along with the groom. I can only surmise this was Nancy's brother or some close relative. I do know that Nancy Howell's maiden name was Galey or Gailey and Howell was her first husband's surname.

Can any one shed some light on Elijah Deadman for me??

Thanks, Rosie

Michael, it was great to hear from you. I am the nephew of Eva Dedmond Carroll. She was my mother's older half sister. I was very sorry to hear about Joe passing away recently. I had wanted to come to the funeral but was unable. I never met my Carroll cousins but did met Eva when I was a young boy once when I went with mother to visit her. We lived only six miles from her.
I would love to know more about your side of the family starting with all the children of Eva and all her descendants. Tell me what type of program you have and I will foward you all of my information. My e-mail address is McBee49@aol.com. My snail mail address is Danny A. McBee, 4131 Grissom Street, Gastonia, North Carolina, 28056. Your great grandfather was William Haley Dedmond (lots of pictures0. I would love a picture of Eva and her children. William's father was James Roland Dedmond of Davie and Rowan County, N. C. His wife was Martha Ann Click. James Roland's father was William Henry Deadmon whose wife was Sarah Caton. William Henry was the son of James Deadman and wife Elizabeth. I have all of our history on all of our Dedmond side. Notice how our name changed over the years but it started out like we spell it. Dedmond. I have a copy of the passenger list where our ancestor Thomas Dedmond came over from London, England. Our ancestry goes back to Cavendish, England. Lots more information. Wanted to say hello. Danny.
