H.Rang I am sorry I haven't looked at board for a long time. I was looking for info on my Grandmothers siblings and their families? The only siblings I ever remember hearing named was Cam,Staynor, and Jane. Grandma Mae made a trip out to Washington State by train in early 30's to visit Aunt Jane in Yakima. My Father was her oldest son and his middle name was Delancy which was a Irish trait. The oldest son was give his Mothers maiden name as his middle name. I was born in her home in Huntington 1936. If you read this message please contact me. Brdden@comcast.net

I too am looking for info on the Delancy lineage...my grandmother was Mary Lucille Delancy; she had a sister Pauline and Bessie?; a brother Frank; I have no other info except she was married 3 or 4 times; Craig (named a son Fred Marshall and daughter Mary Emma) ; then to John Franklin Broadstreet (twin sons Bernard and Banard - and two daughters Bernice and Beatrice); then to a Mr Adler? no children; they lived in Arkansas, Little Rock; then into Memphis TN; my grandmother is buried in Mary's Chapel in Ripley TN...she died in the late 1950's; her brother Frank was in Mountain Home Arkansas in the late 1970's, the last I knew, where he lived with his wife Annie...I know I have thrown a lot at you...but thought maybe names, places might help if there could be a connection...Will keep looking and keep your message in case I find more on my search..,.I do think my delancy's may have been in Mississippi also; have some land records that could be family there...thanks for your time and if you wish to email me I am at: judithecox@aol.com

This woman married into the Delancy family.
I believe her husband's name was Tom Delancy.
There are a couple of variations on the last name. Some took Delancy, others DeLancy, DeLancey and De Lancey. It is said that this last name is french. Can anyone at least tell me whether it's french?

Delancy's in NY 1700's

I am researching this line, who intermarried with the line of John Watts, esq. who was a member of the House of Rep. for NY, 3rd congress 1793-1795. His mom was Anne DeLancy, dtr of Stephen(Etienne) DeLancy and Anne Corlandt. Anne Corlandt was the dtr of Col. Stephanus Van Corlandt. I have no other dates, except that I think Anne DeLancy Watts died in 1775. Any help appreciated. janinepark@hotmail.com
