John DeLoye

My great great grandfather was Charles Joseph DeLoye born 1834 in Frahier-et-Chatebier, Haute Saone, France. He settled first in Dodge County, Wisconson, and then in Faulk County, South Dakota. He had a brother John (Jean Baptist) born 18 July 1845 also at Frahier, France. I have his French birth record. I find John in the 1870 Dodge County census at Leroy with wife Nancy, age 20, born in Connecticut, and children Charles, Frank, John, and Julius. Family tradition has it that this family moved to CT. Charles Joseph and Jean Baptist were sons of Francois Hypolite DeLoye and Julie Pequignot. Would love to exchange info with you.

Does anyone know the parents of Azeline Fadden? She married Jule Deloye and lived in Shawano County Wi. She was born about 1855, possible in Wi. There were Faddens in Dodge county at the time. I am trying to tie her in with John Fadden who had a wife Mary and a second wife Betsy VanBuren( nee Gillett). Anyone have any info?

Thaks so much for the message. It came at a good time. I am closing my Ancestry.com account. I spend far too much time on the site than I do gettingmy work done for college teaching.

Anyway, I have a copy of John DeLoye's Citizenship papers and a CT census of him in my files. I would leove to send you a copy along with all of the information about his children, granchildren, etc. I do not have ascanner so I could mail copies if you want to send an address for mailing. If not, I can just type the info and send it e-mail, if you want to give out your address.

My mailing address is

Dr.
