Is there an indian names in Desruisseau or Morin families?

My grandmother's parents, Eugene and Antonia Morin Desruisseau was born in Quebec, Canada. My grandmother told me years ago that there is indian bloodline in her families but don't know which side is it. And also, she can't remember the name of the tribes. Does anyone know about this? Her family,Desruisseau can trace back to Houle of Paris,France. But I can trace the Morin's back to late 1800's because it is difficult for me to find and I don't speak French. Thank-you!

Desruisseaux in Haiti

My grandmother is Desruisseaux, and i was told she has many siblings, but my family only know the legitimate ones. We know he came from France and he lived and died in Haiti. That last name is so distinctive that I thought it would be easy to track. His name was Rober Desruisseaux, blue eyes, blond hair, about 6 feet tall. We've been trying to trace the family for years now, and we came up empty, until I discover your post about Desruisseaux We also know he had many children and his parents had many children. But he was the only one to have lived in Haiti

I am trying to find out the date of death for Odelie Desriusseaux who was married to Modeste Martel. They had two children (that I know of): Marie Virginie Martel and Mathias Martel and lived in St Flavien, Canada. I assume she died there, but can't find any confirmation.

Interesting! My late grandmother's parents are Desruisseaux and they are from Quebec, Canada. They moved to Keene, New Hampshire in 1912-13. They've been here until they died in 1977. I'm also direct-descended to Houle. Louis Houle's son, Jacques (1667-1748)married to Louise Baudet. I have copies about him. Louis Houle was the son of Noel Houde and Anne Lefebvre in France. If you need to more about them. I'll do my best to give it you.

Just wanted to update that it is Flore Desruisseaux who married Louis Boisvert at Ste-Croix, Lotbiniere, Aug 20,1839. Marie Flore was born Jan 19, 1817 (Ste-Croix, Lotbiniere)to Francois Desruisseaux & Francoise Garneau.

Does anyone have information (dates/places/ancestors) on the above Desruisseaux spouse? Flavie for first name? I've seen an online database that has a Flore married to a Louis Boisvert so wondered if Flavie & Flore are the same person.
All I know is they had a daughter Zenaide (b. 1858 Quebec) who married Pierre Hardy.

My grandmother, Marie Anne Desruisseaux, parent's were F X Desruisseaux and Emilie Lavigne. F X parents were F X Houde and Agnes Aubin. The line goes back to Louis Houde and Madeleine Boucher.

Looking for family of Larry Desruisseaux who married Lola Shoultz from Shelburne, Nova Scotia during WWII.
Larry was stationed in Shelburne with the military.
They had one known child a daughter Marie before they left Nova Scotia following the war.
Some of the family has been back to Nova Scotia.

I am looking for info on the marriage of Pierre Desruisseaux/Durusseau-Pombert and Genevieve Marcotte. These are direct ancestors for me. I seem to have hit a dead end with these two lines. They had a daughter, Marie, married to Joseph Fournier-Hebert on Nov. 20, 1809 in Louiseville, PQ. They also had a daughter, Suzanne, married to Jean-Baptiste Fournier-Hebert on Nov. 7, 1808. I am looking for an Achille Desruisseaux who married Lucia Hebert in Buckinham, Quebec in 1886. They had 3 daughters in Hull, Quebec between 1888 and 1892. The oldest Marie Valeda married Jean Alphonse Lalonde in 1908 in Livingston , Montana. Is this Achille yours or a different one? Let me know thanks.
