Surnames: Devlin, Hughes, McCarron
I have just learned that my great uncle's godfather was a Devlin. My father is unaware of a family connection. However,since starting on the family history I have learned that my father and his siblings are blissfully ignorant on many family connections, so I would like to a least do a superficial exploration of the possibility of there being a connection between the 2 families. This is what I know:
Peter Francis Hughes born 07 Jun 1885, Worcester MA. Parents: Henry Hughes & Margaret McCarron. Godparents: Daniel Devlin & Susan McCarron.
While my father does not associate the name Devlin with the family, he does recall their being a family friend named Eddie Devlin who lived in Westfield MA and used to bring the family eggs (I assume he lived on a farm). This would have been in the 1930's and 1940's.
