Dodds of Durham who emigrated to New York

My family was living around Barnard Castle when they emigrated in 1818--Joseph Dodds, wife Elizabeth, and 8 children. Joseph's father was Thomas Dodds. His marriage banns were posted in Winston but he married Denney Kay in Romaldkirk Parish. I'd like to know more about Durham Dodds but can only offer information about these emigrants.
