Today I have finalized the Damm/Dom tree for my genealogy of the Gerhard(t)-family. Their is a collateral noble ancestry thru the Henss (Hentz in USA)lineage.

My name is Suzanne Hollander i am Walter Hollander's daughter and Aunt loekies niece. My oma was Henrietta Louise Dom. I am highly interested in speaking with you as well as the rest of our family in Europe.
I am in touch with my cousins in California (related to the Bosch side i believe) - Claudia VonZamory and she is in turn in touch with a lot of family i do not know as well in Germany.

I am interested in meeting up and opening the door to bond the ties with all of my family close and extended. I am also researching the Pereira side that married into the family along with the Bosch's.

I am Emile Louis Dom, son of Jules Marie Dom(1900). I read your message. My eldest brother Jules Marie Dom(1927) lives in the USA/ 16 Newton Road Wayne New jersey. Your father is a nephew of mine, and your grandmother an aunt of mine. I am born in 1958! and I can remember your grandmother and grandfather Lou Hollander very well, they were nice people and very much hospitallity was found at their place. My father died in 1980. and my mother died in 1991. We have not much contact with the dutch relatives, butr if you want more information, contact me, perhaps I can help you more with information about the family Dom. My twin brother , who is a notary made a lot of work to find out more about the Domfamily.\

I am a son of Jules Dom(1900) , I think you will be a daughter or granddaughter of Loeky en Danny van der Woude-Holllander. The mother of Loekie is an aunt of mine( tante Jet) , sister of my father.
I think that if you want moere inforrmation, we have also a brother in the USA, Jules Marie Dom, born in 1927. He lives in New Yersey, adres: 16 Newton Road 07470 Wayne New Yersey.
Off course if I have a little more time I will write more. You have also an uncle, Walter, he left also to Canada early sixties.
We have rather a big family, however not much contact with them. All the names you mentioned are allready dead. But thir (grand)children do exist in the Netherlands. My twinbrother Richard, who is a notary in the Netherlands, has moer contact with them.

My g-g-grandfather was Gerardus Dom (11-21-1840-11-14-1897)who married Maria Merket, of Antwerp. Their daughter Marie
(5-13-1967-1-5-1950) was my g grandmother.
She married Charles Heynen from Merksem,
Belgium. Does this tie into anyones tree?

John, Good to hear from you again. The Philip Dom we are descendent of lived in Wellersburg, Pa. According to the Somerset Herald, August 28, 1872, Philip died 22 August 1872. Philip was married to Margaret Gearhardt. I have a reproduction of a map of Wellersburg dated 1876 showing two Mrs. Dom's on Main Street. One of the two listed at a hotel and the other next to it. I believe Margaret is the one at the hotel since Philip was an Inn Keeper.

I don't have a lot of information, but here it is. Oliver P. Dom was my great great grandfather, he married Hanna Lepley in Elerslie, PA and had four children, Clara, Edith, Evelyn and Lilliam (my great grandmother who was born on 12/31/1855 in Wellersberg, PA). My records don't show a child named Oliver, but the fact that your Oliver's middle name is Hannah, which was my Oliver's wife's name leads me to believe that there is a connection. I also know that Oliver P. Dom's father was Philip Dom who was born in Germany and died in 1872 and his mother was Maragret Gearhard. They had four children, Oliver, Henry, Ella and Joshia. Please let me know if this helps and/or if you have any other information on the Dom's.

Are you still working on the Doms? My ggrandfather was Oliver P Dom from Dawson Pa. My grandfather was Ross Miller from Bedford Pa. I am having trouble getting the Olivers and the Phillips straight. Some of the birth and death dates don't match up. Please help if you can.

Your grandmother is my Aunt Loekie! I am the daughter of Walter and he is the son of Henrietta Louise Dom and Henry Louis Hollander. I have a close cousin down in California who is our second cousin from the second marriage of my Grandfather who is Jules Dom. I am currently pulling up as much information about our ancestry as possible and i know my oma Henrietta's ancestory up to Princess Sriema ( i do believe her last name was Van Medona - but i am in the process of verifying that lineage). I am looking for info/names of my g-g-grandfather and mother. They are of Belgium or Portuguese decent.
They met and were married in Indonesia. Their children were born in Indonesia.
Their children are:
Jane Dom (born 1896)
Fanny Dom (born 1898)
Johanna Christina Dom (born 1898)
Jules Marie Dom (born 1900)
Henriette Louis Dom (born 1902)

I believe their was one other child (Fortu Dom?) born post 1902.
