Yes, the clues definitely point to Spanish origins.

I've also found it on several Sephardic lists, also coming from Spanish origins.

I googled *origin of domingo surname* and this came up....

http://baby-names.familyeducation.com/name-meaning/domingo
Etienne Domingo

Etienne Domingo was born in 1630 in Bayonne, Pyrenees-Atlantiques, Aquitaine, France.

He married: Catherine Madame.

Their child is Etienne Domingo Carabi who married Renee Charpentier. Domingo seems an unlikely name in France during that time frame and was wondering if anyone knew who Etienne Domingo's (b 1630) parents were and where his family may have originated from.

Thank you for your time.

Sory, but I don't have any information about them. The oldest members of my family I kow about are my great-grandparents begetters, whose name were José Domingo Monmé and María Mañe. I don't know when they died, but my great-grandparents Tomás Domingo died in 1884 and María Teresa Martí died 1893. They lived in Nulles, Tarragona, Spain. Some relatives of mine, living in El Salvador (direct descendants from a daugther of my great-grandparents), traveled to the former town and searched its parish for our ancestry. They've told me all of this (and more), but as far I know, they haven't at all mentioned those names you're talking me about.

Greetings,
Delver Domingo

Do you have any information on Gaspar Domingo, from Valls, born before 1688 and married to Magdalena Avilla? Their son was Jaume Domingo Avilla, born before 1706 and married to Llucia Albages Requesens. Their son Jaume Domingo born before 1740 married Magdalena Sagi Benages. Their daughter, Maria Domingo Benages married Llorens Folch Beltran (or Bertran). Leo castellano.

Hello. One of my step-cousins has just asked me if I could find more information on her late father.

All she knows is that he was born ~1930 in Massachusetts (probably), and he died in ~1994 in Florida (probably).

I asked her if she knew if her father's birth name was definitely Richard, and she doesn't know.

I believe her parents were divorced a long time ago. I don't know if he had a previous marriage (with children), and I don't know if he had a 2nd or 3rd marriage.

Thank you for your time.

Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA)

Domingo Family from spain to Hawaii to work in sugar cane fields

I am Looking for anybody who might know about my grandmothers family. Name spelling have been changed so much for this family that I am just having a hard time. My Great grand mother was Angela Domingo born in 1901 in spain she later married my great grand father Vicente Pastor, She had a brother named Balaria who died at age forty of cancer,a sister named Marcelina Domingo, and one named Dionisia Domingo, I think there was another brother name marion also. All the kids were born in spain except Frank who was born in Hawaii. The family later moved to California to the contra costa area and somewhere along the line adopted Eugenio Pato whos family also came from spain. I am not clear why though. The parents of these children were Ceferino(seferino) and Noberta (roberta, Novelta) Cerindote. I am not sure if all the children came to cailifornia or not. The 1920 census doesn't list them as living with their parents but the girls would have been of marrying age by then. I have a great family photo of them and the paper they had recieved advertising free passage to the united states(if they worked in the fields for 3 years) Please think about rthe names of your family memebers and see if my spelling could possibly be similar. thank you
