I am Tracing the Drage family descending from William Drage and Jane Cargil. They had Children , George Wilson (1856), John Edmund(1862) Percella (1861) William (1852),Austin(1858) Caroline Lydia ( 1866)

I am descended from George Wilson Drage. He married Julia Caroline Brockenshire. They had 6 Many of their children were born in the Laura area in South Aust. Florence May Drage his daughter married Alfred Hayles. They are buried in Meekatharra in Western Australia.

Australai he had two wifes and a liason with my great grand mother
Polly Glass this happen in a place called Northampton in Western Australai
His first wife was a Jane Bandy and off hand he married another in between that he had two sons one died quite young drown and the other was Ernest Drage who was my grand father.

I've only just started and come unstuck already. My Drage family lived in chester. my dad Allan arthur was born in plymouth in 1916 but moved with family to chester soon after. he had 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Barbara, ethel, dorothy, wilfred, ivan, ronald and a few more i cant remember. i think his dad was a captain in the army and his grandad was a clergyman. His mum's name was florence mahala (nee) Clarke and thats all i know. does it fit inwith anyones Tree please

I'm looking for information regarding the DRAGE family from London, England area, also from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
My Great Grandfather was Ernest Thomas Drage m Maud A. Miles both from London, England. Ernest migrated to Canada and had my grandfather William (Bill) Ernest Drage in Toronto, and a daughter Irene Drage. Irene married a Harry Schueltge.

S. and Ellen (Nell) Drage - Hammersmith/London to Toronto

My great great grandfather Richard Martin (1845-1910) had a sister Ellen (Nell) (1858-3/1884) who married a Mr. S. Drage. They were all from Hammersmith, England which is just outside of London. Richard moved to Toronto in 1871 with his wife and daughter, He went on to have many other children. I believe that Nell came to Canada as well but I do not have any proof. S. and Nell Drage had a baby boy in 1882 but unfortunatley he died the same year. I do not know if they had any other children. Nell died two years later at the age of 26 years old. Richard and Nell's parents were named Thomas and Maryann. I hope that this helps someone from the Drage family. If you find that we are related I would like to get some info on Mr. S. Drage for my family tree. Thanks

We recently learned that my father-in-law, Norman Drage Tuck, was actually the illegitimate child of Emily Mae (North?), living in Toronto, Canada, and a Mr. Drage. Mr. Drage and Emily Mae's relationship lasted anywhere from a few months to a couple of years. Once the baby was born, the relationship ended. Emily Mae married Fred Tuck when Norman was two years old. Any information about who Mr. Drage might have been would be greatly appreciated.

Gday im doin my family tree and im as far back as James Drage who married Sarah Hewett. the first Drage to came to Aust in my line was Thomas Drage who was married to Jane Bandy in 1862 and had 15 kids (lack of tv ay? lol) one of which was Thomas Amos Drage born 1864 in Wannerenooka W.A any info on this line would be awesome as well as a chance to connect to rellies. I'm excited because tomorrow is my birthday and I found three ( 3 ) more generations of my Drage line.

Here's what I have so far.
My great grandfather Ernest Thomas Drage, born 1888, his brother's were William George, and John Benjamin

Ernest's parents were
John Drage & Isabella (Cain)

John's parents were
John and Mary Ann, their children according to the 1871 England Census are as follows.
1. John born abt. 1851 in Barkway, Hertfordshire, England
2. Sarah A. born about 1856 in Surrey, St. Saviour, Southwark, England
3. William born about 1860 in Surrey, St. Saviour, Southwark, England
4. Fanny Mary A. born about 1865 in Surrey, St. Saviour, Southwark, England.

Living with Mary Ann Drage in the 1871 Census are two (2) nephews
William Drage born about 1836 in Parrkway, Hertfordshire, England.
John Drage born about 1838 in Parrkway, Hertfordshire, England.

John and Mary Ann Drage lived in East Rodham? (census is a bit blurry) at Villiage Green.
Their children were Thomas Drage, born about 1849 in Norfolk, East Rodham, England
2. John born about 1850 in Norfolk, East Rodham, England
3. Horrace Drage born about 1852 also in Norfolk
4. Mary Elizabeth Drage, born about 1856 also in Norfolk,
5. Ellen Mary Drage, born about 1857
6. Fanny Mary Drage born about 1860

Living with John and Mary at Village Green were a teacher and two servents.

John Drage was born in 1821, London
Mary Ann was born about 22 Cambridgeshire, England.

This is as far as I have so far.
I continue my search...

Genealogy is an habit I don't want to kick.

Hello all,
Well recently I found out that my great great grandfather was John Benjamin Drage of England, married to Isabel Cain or Kane. They had at least four children. Maude Drage, Ernest Thomas, John Benjamin Drage Jr, and William Drage. My sister and I know that our grandfather was born in Toronto, Canada. I have orginal birth certificate. Other than that were still going through a newly found bible that was in our grandmother's possession. Wish us luck.

I anyone might have information about a Drage marrying a Cain or Kane please let us know...BLESS YOU ALL...

Can anyone offer help please. Just got Family Tree Maker for Christmas but cannot find anything on even my father. Father was Charles Horace Drage 1913-1981 and his father was Horace Thomas Drage with 3 brothers. Can anyone tell me where/how to start looking. Lived Leyton Essex now London.

Mary was called Sister Mary by the Canal people.

In my ancestry, I have come to a stump on an Elizabeth Drage, born in 1756 in England. She was married to a George Hunt (b. 1755). I have reason to believe that her parents are Thomas Drage (b. 1723) and Elizabeth Conyard (b. abt 1727). If anyone has any information on this family, I would be quite interested.

I'm looking for any info on Edna Drage who married an unknown Hargreaves in the 1920's. Edna was the daughter of William E. Drage. She had one brother, Ernest Drage. Edna was born in England in 1913 & died in 1956.

Here is my recent find...

My great grandfather Ernest Thomas DRAGE, son of John Benjamin DRAGE and Isabel Kane or Cain.

Children of John Benjamin DRAGE and Isabel Kane/Cain are
Maude DRAGE, John Benjamin DRAGE II or Jr, and William DRAGE, also my Ernest Thomas DRAGE.

I believe that the family were orginally from ENGLAND and migrated to CANADA sometime during the late 1890's.

My great grandfather Ernest married Maude Agnus MILES and their son William Ernest DRAGE was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in York County.

Maude Agnus MILES is the daughter of Walter MILES and Elizabeth MILES (nee BLAIR)
Children of Walter and Elizabeth are Elizabeth, Caroline, Ellen, Florence and George MILES.

I would love to know if anyone might have a connection to any of my family members.
