The Maude Dresden in my family was born in Birmingham, England. She came to this country as a young child and lived only in Brooklyn, NY and Belmar, NJ. Her father Sydney was a tailor in Belmar.

ohhhkay. I guess it's the right Sidney but ...

Jaffie married Miriam Dresden who was born about oh 1905, it's on record Cook County, IL. So that's the only one I found AND she's the right age. See 1910 census, parents Sid and Anna.

Miriam later became Maude on census. But I'm glad to have found the right person to keep me from chasing my tail! Thanks.

I believe these are two different people. To the best of my knowledge the woman listed as Maude in Monmouth County married Milton Goldberg and was only married once. Maude had no daughters, only two sons who are my first cousins.

It appears that daughter Miriam, shown as Maude on 1930 census at Monmouth, married first Joseph Jaffie, who apparently disappeared but was known to use aliases. 2nd husb was Edward Gowens.

Looking for information on Eldren L. Dresden(1914-1967) married to Catherine Margaret Dillman(1907-1964). Children Eileen & Edward. I am related to Catherine with her father Abram (Abraham) the brother of my GG-Grandfather. Looking for any information related to the Dresden, Dillman, or Ennis family. Hannah Ennis is Catherine's mother. Abram is originally from Gettysburg, PA and I believe Hannah is from Illinois. Any information big or small would be helpful. Thanks.

I found two Nathan Dresden in my tree:
The firs one Born 26-May-1877 in Amsterdam, married Duifje Orpus, and his Uncle Nathan Dresden Born in Amsterdam the 10th of Feb. 1853, married Sara Rodrigues.

Nice hearing and helping another Dresden....

Mt. Sterling, Brown Co IL. She was the
daughter of William "Henry" Theodore Ethel
"Della" McCormick GILKER. She was adopted by
DRESDEN family of Lewis Co. MO. She married
VIELLES had a daughter Della Ruth VIELLES
b. in 1923. Woodena later married Richard
Lewis BOURN in Quincy, IL on March 5, 1934.
Woodena's brothers sisters were also
adopted out. They were: Lina Ruth (married
VIRGIN GILES), Alta Almina (married
SCHWAGMEYER), Raymond Alfred, Earlaid
Jeremiah, Sarah Geneva adopted by HAVNER
family lived Mo.(married MELCHING),Enos
Ramson adopted by James Lou CAIN(E)of Adams
Co IL. Any info on any of these people would
be greatly
