I'll check with my family members to see if we're related to Mildred Dufield, or knew her.

Does Fred James Dufield ring any bells? He would have been in his teens. He might have known Mildred. He lived in New Hampshire.

I'll try to find out.

-Alicia

I am looking for information on my GG-grandparents, Henry and Hattie Dufield.
They had 9 children: Hattie Violet (my g-grandmother, mar. Arthur Kruckenberg), Henry, Frank ( mar. Thelma), Mason (mar. Nell), Lee (died at Camp Funston, Ft Riley,KS in 1918 during the flu epidemic.), May, Rose (mar. Bill Maninger), Hazel (mar.

Robert,
Arthur was my g-grandfather. His daughter Helen is my Grandmother. She is living in Wichita Kansas with her brother L'loyd. You might ask your father if he remembers them. The old Kruckenberg homestead is now Pawnee Prarie Park (the whole 160 acres.) in Wichita. I have Rose's address somewhere at home. She and her husband live in Kansas, but I can't think of the town off hand. From what I gather, your father would be my grandmother's cousin. That would make you my father's second cousin. by the way, his name is Robert too.
Henry Hattie, Lee, Hattie V (my g-grandmother) are all burried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Wichita. The Kruckenbergs are also buried there. If you go to the cemetery, the easiest way to find the Dufields is to enter the second drive, and look for John Kruckenberg's marker. It is about a 7 foot monument with a whole through it. The Dufields are buried in the same section.
I'll be more than happy to share what information I have. Any information you have would also be greatly appreciated. Also, If you have any old pictures or documents, I would be happy to reimburse you for copies.

Yes, I am interested. You might note who is who in the picture, if you know.

I found an old copy of "The Westside Story",a newspaper that tells about the west side of Wichita, that has a story about The Kruckenbergs in it. It has a picture of Arthur and Hattie in it. If you'd like, I can try to send you a copy of it to.

Also, I found that the Dufields were from Peoria County, Illinois. I got this from the birth certificate of Arthur and Hattie's son, L'loyd.

Dan

Here's my email address (rob.l.dufield@pharmacia.com). Send me you address and I will get the picture to you. In addition, I have a picture of Henry in very good condition which I will scan for you. Please send me the article you mentioned. You are right abou the origin from Peoria, IL. I believe the majority of the kids were born in Trivoli (where my grandfather Frank Dufield was born). Looking forward hearing from you. Thanks!

Rob
