Those of you researching members of the Dummer family of British origin may like to know that I have recently completed the latest edition (the 7th) of my one-name study on British Dummers. It contains the results of virtually all my researches over the last 45 years. It takes the form of a CD ROM from which a book of 360 pages can be printed out; consisting of descriptive text with integrated family tree charts and numerous illustrations (107 pages), an extensive data file (111 pages), appendices, a transcript of the General Register Office Index of all Dummer births, marriages and deaths in Great Britain from 1837 until the mid-20th century, list of sources and an index of persons.
A copy of the CD can be obtained from the churchwardens of the ancient church of the Dummer family at Dummer village, Hampshire, in return for a donation of five UK pounds (GBPs) plus postage, towards the maintenance of the church. Visit www.hants.org.uk/allsaintschurchdummer and click on Local Links, then on The Family of Dummer CDrom, or email direct "allsaints church.dummer@hantsweb.org.uk" (without the gap in the middle of the address).
