I am looking for Moses Duncan b. 1818 Elbert,Franklin County GA died 1890. Not dead in 1842 (have looked at US and GA Census confirming alive to 1880 and have death records verify death 1890) wife Elizabeth Dooley. He was father of Moses Harrison Duncan.

I cannot find any records showing who Moses Duncan's father was or anything beyond Moses Duncan. I have looked at US Census, local records, newspaper articles till I am brain numb. There is much confusion as there is another Moses Duncan b. 1790 married to an Elizabeth Bowers. Have found records showing deeded land sales listing a Moses Duncan selling land to a William Ray but "my" Moses Duncan would have been c.5 years old selling land. Have seen the wills of a Moses Duncan and John Duncan but as I have stated the Moses I am looking for died in 1890 not 1842. Help anyone!

I have also seen on ancestry.com people adding Keziah and Jesse Duncan as the parents of Moses Duncan. After many hours of searching Miles files in VA, Kesziah Taylor Duncan married to Jessee Duncan-I see no records or any proof of this. There was a Keziah Duncan in Franklin County,GA. but her maiden name was Kirby not Taylor, she was from S.C. not VA, her husband was not Jesse and she was not the mother of Moses... Once again, Help, help! Trying to get this info together as super surprise Christmas gift for my mother. Think the surprise will be some empty branches up top ;-(
