Seeking information on a Robert and Elizabeth Duncan in Buckingham County, VA.
1850 Census
Robert age 30
Betsy A. age 26
George age 8
Emmaline age 11(?)
1860 Census
Robert age 40
Betsy A. age 39
George age 17
Emaline age 13
Robert J. age 9
1870 Census
Elizabeth age 50 - widowed
Emiline age 22
Robert J. age 19
My several times great grandfather was Cary Duncan born in Buckingham County. He did have a son Robert born about 1820 but I do not have any proof the Robert Duncan in these census records is his son.
In 1869 in Lewis County West Virginia a George Duncan son of Robert and Elizabeth married Eliza Newton daughter of George Newton and Lydia Ann Duncan. Also, Lydia was a daughter of Cary Duncan.
If anyone has any information that could help I would appreciate it. Thanks.
