This Cherokee Duncan line was in SC and GA before being removed to the Cherokee Nation in the 1830's. Part of the line moved to California in the late 1840's and 1850's while most stayed in the Cherokee Nation, some living in NW Arkansas and SW MO besides SE Kansas. One line of the Cherokee Duncans lived in Texas for a time. Another branch lived in TN for a time.
