Hello,

Im hoping you maybe able to help me from your message i have found. My name is Janet Marie Pearson (nee Dunne)and my father was Thomas Joesph Dunne and his father was called Nicholas Thomas Dunne, are we talking about the same person?

Thomas married my mother Barbara in 1955 and i was born October 1956. My sister Lesley came along in October 1958 and my father had already left to start a relationship with a lady called Barbara, are we talking about your mother? I was born in Otley, West Yorkshire and so was my sister.

I dont have much information to go from other than their marriage certificate as i never knew my father and my mother went onto re-marry.

I would love to hear from you if you can help me with my search.

Hi I'm looking for any information relating to William (Patrick?) Dunne who married Bertha Martin in 1918 at Skipton North Yorkshire.
William served in the British Army during WW1 and by 1920 was living at Ivy Cottage Long Lee Keighley West Yorkshire and working as a Dyehouse machinist.

Looking for any information on Michael and Catherine's descendents. My father James was born in 1920, in Brooklyn NY. I don't know much about his family - I know he was born in Brooklyn, and I believe this information about his parents is correct.

1930 Census data suggests these folks lived in Brooklyn and had approx. 11 children. (Apparent misreading of family name as "Hunn" instead of "Dunne".

Gallagher of Ballinagar born 1874 and daughter of Daniel and
Esther Gallagher nee Dunne. Catherine and Laurence settled in
Chicago and Denise Parsons is their great grand daughter,

Hi,
I'm Garry Dunne from QLD Australia, my ancestor James O'Grady Dunne born 17.01.1846 in Edenderry, Kings County, Ireland, migrated to Australia. His father was James Dunne who died 13.06.1876, who's father was John Dunne & mother I believe was possibly Sarah Searey.

James O'Grady Dunne's mother was Bridget O'Grady born in Kings County Ireland. Bridget's mother was Catherine Wheelan & father was William O'Grady.

James O'Grady Dunne married Julia Theresa Kelly.

In another branch of my tree there is also a Katherine Dunne, whose spouse was Robert D'Arcy, parents of Robert Joseph D'Arcy born in Edenderry Kings County, Ireland, who also migrated to Australia and died 19.08.1901. I have nothing else on this Katherine Dunne, or anything further.

Does anyone have any information about the Dunne line past that point in either lines? I've been searching hard and haven't found anything. The information I've written is all I have, so any info at all would be very helpful and so greatly appreciated!

Hello, I too am researching the Dunn/Dunne family and my great great grandmother was Mary Anne Dunne who was born in Quebec in 7/1851 and died in Chicago 4/20/1914, married to John F. McGuire on 2/26/1868 in the private quarters of Reverend Dennis D. Dunne who was the pastor of St Patrick's Catholic Church in Chicago and he was also the Vicar General of Chicago at the time.Mary Anne's father was James Dunne from Ireland, b circa 1794, d circa 4/1880, buried in Calvary Cemetery in Chicago.
Wondering if you have any connections to my Dunn/Dunne family?

Hello... I'm using my Mother's password since she has world access. My name is Paige Meador Dunn. My husband is Edward Michael Dunn Jr.

Edward Michael Dunn Sr gave me a great start on his family... some of the names you mention sound quite close, although I'm not sure the dates match???

Thomas Dunn married Annie Fitzpatrick. They had a slew of children, including a Sara, John, Catherine, Agnus, Martin... I cannot remember all of the names, but there were ten or more children. Thomas died after coming to America... a year later Annie married Thomas' brother Martin (there are two, a son and a brother)... between Annie and Martin, they bore a son named William. They did have the "e" on the end of the name, dropping it when they arrived in New York... last known residence was somewhere in Iowa.

My husbands name is Edward Michael Dunn Jr. HIs father gave me information to get started, and the names you mention are in our tree. Please visit our tree, Dunn Family Tree... it is public. I have a Thomas Dunn (or Dunne) who married a Annie (or Anna, Ann) Fitzpatrick in Kildare Ireland.... Their last residence was Iowa, which is very close to Illinois. There is an Agnus, and a William and few of the other names you mentioned as part of his children. Thomas Dunn married Annie Fitzpatrick and had a slew of children, including a son named Martin. When Thomas died, Thomas' brother Martin (not the son, the brother by the same name) married Annie Fitzpatrick a year later, and they bore a son named William.

I am looking for any imformation on my relatives:surname Dunne. In particular any info on Annie Dunne born sometine in 1909, she died aged 24 on the 18th feb 1933. Her father was i believe Joseph Dunne, and mother Catherine nee Martin or Kate. Annie was married to Patrick Omeara, they had 2 children Josephine, and Kathleen.They were all based in Clara co Offally.

Annie had sisters Kate and Sarah, and possibly a brother. The 2 sisters emigrated to Boston in the early 1900's.

I replied a week ago but see that I did not post it correctly. The marriage cert of the Thomas that married Johanna Norris stated that his father was Thomas so he seems to be of a different family though I am sure they were related. I have checked the parents of the people you are talking about and there seems to be three families involved. I would prefer to communicate privately if you would be happy to do that. Thomas Joseph Dunne born Aug 4, 1932 in Ireland (sorry don't have the city), sibblings are/were Mary Bridget, Constantine, Nick (or Noel).
Thomas Dunne married Barbara Gott born May 3rd, 1937 from Yorkshire England.
From that marriage there were 3 children (1 deceased)Adrian born in 1958, Terrance John born Nov 4, 1959, and me Annette Caroline, born Sept 13th, 1964.

My Dunnes hail from the Clonaslee, Mountmellick area as well. William Dunne married Ann Delahunty in Clonaslee 1 Nnov 1860. They had at least 3 children in Clonaslee ; Mary, Charles. and Catherine bfore leaving for Vermont USA. Upon entering the USA the E was dropped from the name.

Thomas Dunne, son of Michael and Catherine, was married to my grandfather's cousin Annie Furlong in Fitchburg, MA. They had several children. Peter Dunne lived with them for a while in Fitchburg and is mentioned in Thomas' obituary when he died in 1976.

I have a Matthew Dunne - brother of my g.g.grandfather John Dunne. Matthew was born 10 Feb 1839. He apparently left Ireland heading for USA not long after his sister left but he apparently left a wife and 2 sons in Birr, Kings County, Ireland. Dont know if this is any relation as we have no details of the family he left behind, one of the 2 boys could be your Matthew!

Forgive me for contacting you, I have no info for you.
But I wonder if you can help me in some way.

My Grandfather was Thomas Dunne from Dublin, born about 1900. My Mother Teresa was born when he was in his 40's with a woman called Kathleen McKeady, before my Mum was born, my Grandparents had another child named Michael.
We gather my Grandfather Thomas was Married before the relationship with my Grandmother Kathleen. Also My Grandfather was about 20 years older than my Grandmother. Possibly was married to a Doyle lady before, mind not conclusive yet.

Well my Grandparents finally married about 8 years after my Mum & Michael were born and tried to bring my mum home from the convent. But failed the first time of applying.

I was wondering if you know if your Grandfather Matthew had a brother called Thomas, maybe with this history.

Thomas died many years ago before my Grandmother in 1967.

My aim really is too search my McKeady background, but there really is very little on the NET regarding the McKeady name, so I am now searching the my Dunne family first.

Sorry I honestly don't know, I wish I could find that out, I am totally stuck with James Dunne coming from Bannow to England, I cannot get any positive information from their Irish Roots, it seems that there is something weird keeping all of us from this information, (probably a dark skeleton in the cupboard)! I would dearly love for one of the other researchers of Dunne In Wexford finding something for me even by accident. The only positive thing that I know for sure is that,he had an older brother Patrick b.1863/4 in Wexford and coming to England before James and of course Catherine Sennott/Sinnott who James married in England (Lancashire)who was also born in Wexford.
