Looking for information on Ethel Dunstone(seen spelled Dunston). She was born in October 1891 in Illinois according to the 1900 census. Her parents are Thomas Dunstone and Sarah Dunstone. I found her in the 1900 census in Troy City, Madison Illinois and in 1910 in Jarvis Township, Madison, Illinois. She was married to a man named Wehrfritz(don't know 1st name) and had 4 kids, Thomas(Born 1910)who was living with his aunt and uncle with the last name Herron, which he soon excepted, Clara(Born 1912)who marrys Elmer Rowley, Mildred(Born 1915), and Homer(Born 1918). I beleive she was married at least one more time to some named Schmits(possbily spelled differently). I believe she died around 1970(plus or minus 5 years). Any information on her or Wehrfritz would be great.
Hi,
I've just seen your message and got very exited! I have a number of Dunstones from Veryan in the family. Rebecca Dunstone b 1792 m William Trevarton. I believe Rebeccas parents were Luke Dunstone and Elizabeth Dawe, Lukes parents were Edward and Mary and Edwards parents were Robert and Margaret. To confuse the issue further William Trevartons mother was Mary Dunstone. I've done loads of work on the Trevartons in Veryan, but haven't started on the Dunstones and I'd be very happy to share information!
I'm also going to have to do a bit more with the Pearces, Hatches, Annears, Rowes, Rundles and Blameys of Veryan so any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Lesley

Dear Lee
It's a very long time since you posted your message but I have only just found it. I am also the great grand daughter of Simeon Dunstone. My maiden name was Edwards and my mother is Joan Edwards nee Dunstone and she still lives in Adelaide. I now live in Sydney and have just been looking into the family history. Unfortunately I haven't gone any further than you had at the time of your email. I would love to talk with you. I know that Simeon was a bricklayer. My uncle was named after him. My grandfather was Edwin George who married Emma Hartwig. Hope you still have the same email address. I intend to do a bit more research in Sydney in the next few months but would love to know if you had other replies to your email. Kind regards
Helen Burkett

I have no information on Elizabeth's parents, and little on Elizabeth. I think she was born about 1805 or so. She moved to the U.S. in 1840, and there is a family letter that said that she had a beautiful voice and sang in the church of England. Her husband it said in the family letter was a minister? However, after they moved to the U.S. they became Shakers, which is a off shoot of the Quakers. They were called the shaking Quakers, and believed in celebacy. The husband's family had roots in the Protestant movement. Thank you.

I am looking for information on Elizabeth Dunstone. She must have been born about 1810 or so. She married Thomas Rayson and immigrated to the U.S. in 1840. She had many children, 9 or so, and several of them born in Somerset. Do you have any information on this woman?
I have several Elisabeth DUNSTONES in the tree, most of which I have come to a dead end on. However the family tree as I have it can be found on www.mytrees.com but since I posted it I have found another two generations which include an Elizabeth DUNSTONE born Tregony with Cuby, Cornwall, England 14 Jul 1717. Parents John DUNSTONE and Mary WILLYAMS.
Best of luck in your research.
(Dave)W.M.Thomas

I would love to look at your Dunstone line, do you show any Elizabeth Dunstone's she must have been born about 1800-1810. I have one of the first dates of children of hers at 1829, although I think she had 2 children older. I believe that my Elizabeth left England about 1840 and went to the U.S.

I don't have much, pretty much what I have shared, and what happened to her and her children, but nothing farther back.
Barbara Hill

My Elizabeth Dunstone married Thomas Rayson, and had 7 children. Thomas Rayson we believe was a minister of some sort, and glove maker. They lived in Stoke Under Ham and had my ancestor Thomas A. Rayson in 1832. I believe that Thomas Sr. was born about 1800, and died about 1849. I also have found information that puts the family in the U.S. in 1840, and joining the Shakers in New York.

I don't know if this helps at all.
Barbara

Dunstones

I have assembled, over the last few years, a family tree of Dunstones descending from Robert Dunstone who married Margaret Williams at Veryan in the County of Cornwall, England on the 12th Sep 1734. The current database covers parts of 12 generations from that time, but I am always on the lookout for more data and possibly a few links to complete the family tree as it stands. There are currently over 800 names on the system including a large amount of pedigree information. My interest in the Dunstones stems from my being married to Heather Dunstone.

I stumbled across your message and wondered if you would like to share some information, on a purely family basis. My brother in law and I (both who have married into the Dunstones) and a Dunstone by his mother have been doing some research recently and found out quite a bit of Australian history. Hope to hear from you.

I am looking for information on an ancestor. Her name was Elizabeth Dunstone, and she married a (Thomas) Rayson. We know that she had about 10 children, in England some in Stoke-sub-Hamdon, Sommerset. Her children were born from 1828-1840ish. Her husband was we think a minister, who died in England. About 1840-1844 he died, she left england for the U.S. and joined the Shakers, where she and her children lived.

Any informaton on this relative would be great.
Thanks,
Barbara
