My grandfather was Jesse Lee Earnest. He and his family are from Chickasaw County. A fire destroyed many of the records at the courthouse. i do know that he was born 'on the boat' relocating from Germany. The original spelling of our name is Ernst. A few vowels were added when he was born. I would like any information about any possible relations in MS or AL. I am new to this, so any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
